1481DAT Stainless Steel Barbell Receiver and Adjustable Coupler Lock Set (1481DATSC)

Fits new F-150 and new demco hitch. Did NOT pull apart, tryed several time.

Love these match keyed locks. They are a little finicky at first. Fit is tight they are difficult to lock and unlock. Just give enough a couple weeks and they wear nicely.

I just got this receiver lock today. I was a little hesitant due to some reviews you see complaining about the key being weak and breaking off in the lock. Upon looking at it tonight the key appears different than the one shown in the product image here. The keys that came with mine have round heads and seem perfectly fine to me as far as strength. Another thing I noticed is you only have to turn the key a very little amount (I estimate from the 12 o'clock position to 2 o'clock) to lock/unlock the locking end. As a result, I would think it would be difficult to break it off inside the lock. The only way I could see it coming close to happening is if you tried to remove the lock by turning the key and then using the key to push the lock off instead of grabbing it with your hand and pulling it off.I installed it on the factory 2" hitch on my 2014 Dodge Durango and it fits just fine. I really like how the key is facing forward on the lock which makes it a lot easier to lock/unlock compared to the bolt style where it's on the end. I'm very pleased with the fit and finish as well and it seems well built. The o-ring appears to fit perfectly unlike what some earlier reviews have mentioned where it was too big.Perhaps Master Lock has been listening and has made subtle changes to this lock that address previous complaints about the key and the o-ring. I will be sure to post an update if after using it for a while it turns out it doesn't perform as I expect it to.

Master Lock 1481DAT Stainless Steel Barbell Receiver and Adjustable Coupler Lock Set was just what I was looking for to simplify my towing needs. I always use a locking hitch pin and coupler lock and on more than one occasion had to sacrifice one or the other to the angle grinder gods due to lack of a key. I like the Barbell design and I add a couple of 5/8 washers from my watering hose to take up a little space in case of any rattle. Works great, only downside or upside is I am acutely aware of where I keep my keys (don't need any more sacrifices).

The quality is very good and it is easy to use. The lock faces towards you so there is no fumbling trying to get the key in like I had to with my old round key lock that faced to the side. It also shorter in length so it has less left to right movement.

This works as intended. It's under my truck on the hitch and the blue color has all been faded away in a single summer season. No rust though, which is a plus.

Nice product. I was concerned that it might be too short to fit in my Draw-Tite class lll hitch, but work perfectly.
