The gas can works great, no smell of gas or leaking gas. Carry in my car, for emergency backup. Easy to use and fill, no spillage. Great product. I like the small size, not to heavy to handle.

I am a first time lawn mower owner and was not sure what kind of gas can I needed to buy. When I looked through choices at hardware store, I realized that if I wanted a "no spill" option, I was going to have to pay for that. Not knowing which one to choose, I decided to go with this one based on overwhelmingly positive reviews.When filled up the can and tried to close the cap for the first time, I decided to test out the no-spill part. After the initial splash of gasoline leaking out of the cap opening, I got a bit angry at buying such an expensive gas can that did not work. Then I stepped back and realized what I did wrong. On the back side of the gas cap, there are teeth, and, on the neck of the gas can, there are match teeth. I initially assumed that those teeth would help the cap stay closed but made a mistake of leaving those teeth to hold each other. What I needed to do was to close the cap all the way so that the teeth on the cap go through the teeth on the neck. This way, I have a tight closure and the cap cannot be accidentally opened. Once I figured this out, I saw no leak.After bringing the can back home, putting gasoline into my lawn mower was easy. The vacuum seal breaker button helps the can stay no-spill. I am, however, a bit concerned on how long the vacuum seal would last since that is the only thing keeping this gas can from spilling over every time I tilt the neck.For now, I give this can 4 star for being a no spill gas can as advertised. I took 1 star away from not having a clear instruction on how to close the cap.

I still pine for the golden years of safety agnostic gas cans, but in today's world of hyper consumer safety - this thing is the Dean! If you don't feel like dealing with a Rube Goldberg gas can to fill your mower, give this one a shot. Have been using this style for the last 5 years and to put it simply, the thing just works. No fuss, can use it with one hand, clean and controllable pours every time, and the things holds up after years of abuse. No trickery to get it to pour, just push the button and let it rip. Top comes off easily for refills (recommend cutting the barbed safety collar for faster filling). Slowly converting all our other cans to this style as they age out.

These are fantastic gas cans. The push button meters fuel precisely and the graduations match the pump. The unnecessary safeties are easily removed for effortless refills. If you're handy with a utility knife, you can remove the push botton ears and the anti rotation tab.Great overall, I should have brought one years ago.

There are so many misrepresented products out there these days, cliaming to be able to do this or that but in the real world they don't live up to their hype.I am happy to say that these fuel cans are an exception to that trend - they work and work exactly as claimed to!!!!Although you, out there, don't know me, trust me - I am a grump. I moan about anything. But I love these cans.I am slightly disabled and cannot pour fuel from large cans. These little things are perfect. They don't spill, don't leak, they don't answer me back, they have very accuirate and easy to use pouring. That little green button is just fantastic.Yes, filling machines or your car will take longet than a 5 gallon can but with these little fellows one has four times the opportunity to savour their greatness. They really work, they don't leak, and are a pleasure to use. I run my generator to use fuel up just so I have an excuse to use them to fill up again. Seriously. I am a bit - diffrent shall we say and a full time grumpy so and so but they are NO complaints from me about these little darlings. And that fact alone is astonishing.
