VisibleDust 7X mini Quasar is equipped with 4 SUPER bright LED lights positioned at angles to identify the smallest object on the sensor surface( usually impossible to be seen otherwise). Regular LED light when shinned at the sensor penetrates different layers of filters to produce useless checkered shape visual images of various filter depth without focusing on sensor surface itself. By using Quasar Sensor Loupe inspection devices from visibledust one can eliminate these problems.Using inspection devices from visibledust will reduce the damage to sensor by excessive cleaning hence, saving the cost associated with sensor cleaning. The mini Qusar requires two (2) CR2032 lithium batteries included. The mini Quasar comes with a soft coated foam black box to protect the device.

Serves the Purpose, but, the LEDs are Too Dim and Case is Too Big
I own the first two versions of the VisibleDust Sensor Loupes. This one has extremely week LEDs. Very cheaply made --- installing batteries resulted in the physical housing to start to pop apart (snaps back together fine).The carrying case is nice; but, is unnecessarily big and thick. It is so big in fact, that I might as well take my Visible Dust BriteVue Sensor Loupe. Ultimately I left the carrying case at home and slipped this mini sensor loupe into a small microfiber pouch that fit nicely in my camera bag.So aside from the week lighting, it serves its purpose.

Fantastic product!
Ok so as much as I love the product I am disappointed with the company. Visible Dust is out of Canmore Alberta. There is a prominent camera store called.... The Camera Store in Calgary. I ordered two of these from The Camera Store and I know the people there - they are great. They had trouble getting stock from Visible Dust and could not get the product into the store. I waited 3 months and they were unable to get any. So I couldn't wait any more and found them on amazon - got them shipped from Canmore the very next day - which is great - but I seriously would have preferred that they helped out the local shop rather than support amazon.
