Fresh Effects S'wipe Out! Refreshing Make-Up Removal Cloths, 20-Count

These are fantastic. I can use one to take off all my makeup- including mascara- whereas when I use the neutrogena ones I always need several. I rinse my face after using these but I'm not sure if you need to or not. They don't burn, irritate my skin or sting the way sometimes neutrogena or especially the store brand ones do. I'd stopped using makeup remover wipes because they started to seem ineffective, frustrating or owie in some way. They are great. My face is clean and not red after using them. I think they may be a different material that is softer and the pack stays closed better than some I've used in the past. try it!

Got a rash, but Olay is a good product. The wipes are thick and feel like quality.

I love these wipes so much that I ordered another pack a few weeks later. They stay moist all the way until you're done with the pack. It takes off a lot of make up and it smells really nice. I haven't broken out from this, so that's is a major plus. Definitely buying more once I run out.

When I was younger, I was too busy and rarely pay attention to makeup removal. I believe that, with long lasting liquid foundation, and genetics paved the road for my large pores. Nowadays I always use a cleaning cream first, be it Ponds cold cream or Abolene (step 1). Wipe the cleansing cream off with a tissue (step 2). Then use a makeup removal cloth (step 3). After that, I use a cotton ball soaked with gentle astrigent and swipe my face with it (step 4). Before bed, I wash my face with a face wash and some cleansing tools (step 5). I figured with this process, the makeup removal towels are not that important, right? Wrong! I clean my face at least twice a day so I go through these fast. And I've tried cleansing towels for babies, face, makeups. At the end of step 3, here's what I found: after baby wipes, about 20% of makeup left on the cotton ball (which will take 3 rounds of cotton balls to clean); after Olay, less than 5% of makeup left (good enough for me). These are also very gentle, and never irritated my skin. I don't wear mascara nor eye makeup. For cleaning foundation and its gentleness, I'd give Olay Fresh Effects 5 star. Despite its good cleaning power, I found these cloth very thin. So thin, sometimes they break when removed from the bag. I have used cleansing cloth that are thicker. Also I find these a bit dry, which is ok as a step 3. But if I rely this solely as a one step product to completely remove my foundation, it will fail. For that, I rate this Olay product 4 star. Overall, these are decent makeup removal cloth at a good price. I will continue purchase this whenever there's a sale or coupon.

My usual complaint with make-up removal cloths is that they are too oily, or they don't actually remove makeup. With these, my complaint is that they are ROUGH. So rought I was surprised no one mentioned this in their reviews. I don't have particularly sensitive skin but I instantly thought it felt like sand paper. This concerns me because I'll be using it on the area underneath my eyes and that's already a delicate area. I continued using in order to remove the makeup (and it did a fine job, although it didn't do much for my mascara), but I had to go very slowly and even the gentlest stroke was rough. I searched for the cheapest makeup remover with good reviews so I blame this purchase on my being cheap and i'll continue to use it because I don't waste money. (just to clarify, this is not Nick Kramvis, it's his fiance. He doesn't wear makeup :) ) Maybe I got a faulty set? I just find it very hard to believe that I read like 10 reviews and no one mentioned the roughness... is it just me??

A lot of wipes irritate my eyes and I have found these generally do not. They do a good job in removing my makeup and do not leave a residue on my face. I receive these now via the subscription program and the cost is typically below what I paid at local retail stores.

I received my first package as a trial and I have been addicted to these ever since. I much rather take off my make-up with a clothe than washing my face and getting water dripping down my arms onto the sleeves of my nightgown or top. And it does a much better job of getting mascara off and your face dries quickly.

I didn't particularly like the way it left my face feeling. I wouldn't call it refreshing. It left me feeling a tad oily and I was not a fan of the smell. It removed my makeup well enough. But everyone is different. Maybe they will work for you.
