Works Well
Bought this for an outdoor laundry room for safety reasons because we never had a key to the previous lock. My husband did have to do some modifications to get everything to line up perfectly so it became a 2-4 hour project but definitely worth it. Works very well for what we need and he said it was simple to install. The quality is pretty nice also. Would recommend.

Sturdy and Convenient Keyless Entry
After using the Signstek Keyless Entry Door Lock for a while, I must say it has been a valuable addition to my home security. The keyless entry feature is a game-changer, providing added convenience and eliminating the need to fumble for keys.First and foremost, the build quality of this door lock is impressive. It feels sturdy and well-made, assuring me that it can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. The brushed metal finish adds a touch of elegance, making it blend in nicely with my home decor. The keyless entry mechanism is straightforward to use once you get the hang of it. Entering the code is quick and efficient, giving me peace of mind knowing that my door is secure. Plus, I no longer have to worry about carrying keys while jogging or walking the dog.The auto-lock feature is a real time-saver, as I don't have to double-check if the door is locked every time I leave. However, there is a slight learning curve when it comes to setting up and programming the lock. The instructions provided could be clearer, and I had to troubleshoot a bit before getting it to work correctly.Another small drawback is that the keypad could be more responsive. Sometimes, I need to press the buttons with a bit more force than expected for the lock to register the code. While it doesn't hinder functionality significantly, it can be a minor inconvenience. The battery life is impressive; I've been using it for several months, and it's still going strong. Replacing the batteries is a breeze, thanks to the accessible battery compartment. In conclusion, the Signstek Keyless Entry Door Lock offers a sturdy and stylish solution for easy keyless entry. Once set up, it provides seamless access and contributes to overall home security. While the initial setup process could be smoother and the keypad a tad more responsive, these minor issues are outweighed by the lock's practicality and reliability. I recommend it to anyone looking for a keyless entry solution for their door!

Out-and-in, under half an hour
Update, February 2018: Installed in a three person household, this lock gets plenty of action, every day, and hasn't skipped a beat. I replace the batteries every six months, simply to be on the safe side, but the lock has functioned flawlessly through cold and wet and popping hot weather. Can't go wrong with this.Original Review, April 2017: Works perfectly, rain or shine.. Bought this (for $53.99) as a Christmas gift for my landlord, you know how these things go, you never know whether someone likes your gift or not. I had, on the strength of the Signstek website, figured this lock was likely to be an out-and-in fit to replace the existing Schlage lock, which had misfired once already. A couple weeks ago, he professed to not having a lot of time, and would I mind installing it? I wouldn't, and after spending a few days testing the bejesus out of the Signstek, which passed with flying colours, it went in. It indeed (picture attached) was a perfect fit - it actually fits a little better (more tightly) than the Schlage lock did. Very satisfying clunk-click, solid mechanism, and the programming was simple and very complete. Complete, in that I was able to install it, give myself a sub-code, and then have the landlord do his own thing and change the master code. He even checked out the bypass code, without telling me, confusing the heck out of me. But it is a well made product, tight tolerances, well engineered, excellent manual (that so often isn't the case) not at all expensive, and, I think, good looking. As soon as I know if the batteries last as they're supposed to, I'll update this (if you don't see an update in six months time, October 2017, everything is hunky-dory). I tested the backup battery pack, without the main batteries installed, and that too works fine, and the stored codes don't disappear when the batteries go flat - I didn't expect them to, but it is a good thing to test, you don't want to find out something isn't working when you're trying to get in your house. The inside battery pack is a bit finicky, and its covers don't fit very well, but if you only need to access it twice a year I can live with it. One nice aspect is that you can set a user code, text or call that to your visitor, and you don't even have to be home when they arrive, you expect the plumber, who you know and trust? No more key under the mat. That's a luxury. And you can simply wipe the code once they've left again. And give 'em the same code next time. Remember to keep the backup battery pack outside, you know why, glove compartment, greenhouse, neighbours', it can't open the lock, so you're safe. Good show.
