Basics of Web Design: HTML5 & CSS3 (3rd Edition) 3rd Edition

Very straight forward textbook. It's helping me a lot through my online IT class this semester. It's not big either which makes it easy to carry around to coffee shops and libraries to study. Overall, I would recommend it especially for the hands-on practice sections. Those were most beneficial if you look at anything.

Really enjoyed this book it was a great refresher in my web development skills. I really hope that you will get it for yourself.

The author has done a good job covering the majority of important features of HTML5 and CSS. This book is not a comprehensive reference and should not be purchased as such. This book is designed to be used in an educational environment. Read this book for school, nothing else. Without question, this is a good text to teach from. There is a fourth edition now.

This book was for a class I took in Web Development & Design. Because I already knew HTML for many years, it wasn't a problem. However, there were sections as it explained CSS that didn't register. I also noticed that the author is releasing a 4th edition in February, 2017. On the website as you purused through the chapters, there were times when it advised that there was an error in the book, change this JPG name to something else so it'll work... What if I didn't have access to the author's site? I'd be SOL, right? Overall, it's alright, but I would think that any errors w/b corrected before publishing, particularly when it's used as a textbook.

I rented this book but I didn't use it at all. It's much faster to google. W3 is a great website.

Great book so far, learned a lot of info. Easy to understand and lots of hands on practice to help apply what you have learned.
