This lead is the best! Very smooth to write with and produces nice dark lines. Completely changes the feel of your mechanical pencil, for the better.

I was disappointed with the red hue of this lead. It writes in more of a pink color, rather than the red I was looking for. If that is the color you were trying to find, then I think you will find it a good lead, a good price, and you should be pleased with your purchase. I personally didn't like the color thus I gave it only four stars.

Smooth! The Neox leads for their smoothness. Just be careful with the .5mm size because these are kind of easy to break.

I use these in my mechanical pencils for sketching. They make the darkest lines compared to several others of the same hardness that I have tested, and the marks will also erase well.

The lead is soft enough to make good and legible impressions, but hard enough to not frequently break. Lasts a long time too.
