It only leaves white residue on sprayed areas when you don't dilute it properly (instructions on bottle).I worked for a lawn company for a summer and and we used the same chemical (much larger drum) mixed in the tanks on the back of the truck. This was what they sprayed the yards with to control ticks, fleas, mosquitoes (they sprayed the trees and outside walls of house as well). Be careful around your pets and make sure you do your own research.It's effective. I add some dish soap (do a web search for mixing amount) to the mix for the yard to take care of the army worm outbreak as well.

If the residual effect were stronger, this product would be an absolute home run.
