Why Didn't I Buy This Sooner
Maintenance-Required Batteries actually have better long-demand service characteristics than Maintenance-Free Batteries so on my basement Sump Pump battery-backup system I installed a maintenance-required battery. The system has an electronic monitor/warning device to remind me so that's good. But this simple Battery Filler makes the task faster, easier, and error-free - especially considering my backup system is tucked away in a hard-to-access understairs closet. Buy it. You'll thank me. (Use distilled water!)

So far, fits my needs to a "t"
I purchased this item.I have a decent sized solar setup. Ten, 275 watt panels in two arrays feeding 3 groups of batteries. My old group, powered by 1100 watts, consists of twelve, 6 volt FLA batteries in three banks of 24 volt each. These need the occasional maintenance refill, so monthly that means 36 cells get checked and filled. Using the old “funnel method” works, but to be honest, it sucks. I used to use fillers like this 55 years ago when I was a kid working in gas stations (remember those?). They worked and to be honest I don’t know why I haven’t gotten one before now.So, it works, it fills the cells to the proper level and makes my life easier. I will give it 5 stars for now, as it fits my needs and matches the product description. If in the future it breaks or fails, then I will return to this review and update.Note: I have been an Amazon customer for almost 20 years. I write all of my reviews to reflect my personal observations and opinions on a product. It matters not if I have purchased the item myself or if it was provided to me for review. My goal is to provide other potential customers as much real-world knowledge as possible to make an informed decision. In most cases I will return to my review in 6 months or less to see if I should alter my original observations. In no case will the cost of a product influence my opinions at all. In addition, I will try to include multiple images and or videos on each product, if practical.

It works but…
I use it to fill golf batteries on a golf cart. It worked okay but the spout can stick open while you’re filling.I like how it makes filling multiple batteries a lot easier

Got a golf cart with a battery bank… Don’t mess around get this
This works so well. This is a very robust build. The valve works great I don’t even know why I didn’t get this. It took me too long to figure out how well these things work and how fast you can get water back in your battery bank.Just buy it!

Worked Well, note update. Be Sure to Hold it Upside Down to Check for Leaks Before Filling Battery
Update;Reducing from four to one stars. If you look at the picture you will see that the o-ring that holds the spout together has deteriorated. Once it falls off the spring loaded part of the spout will come off, rendering the can useless for filling batteries as described in the description page. One star lost because of the price increase, and the other two for the loss of function in a short time period. Now to earn back those stars they need to include replacement O-Rings with the product, and make them available to previous customers. O-rings of specific sizes can be hard to find.Original reviewAlmost five stars. Works well enough, it's not particularly fast, but it's not really slow either, I'd rather have accuracy as opposed to a fast fill. You just pour your distilled water into it, replace the cap, check for leaks, then open battery caps, hold over battery cell opening, and press down on the spring loaded nozzle, then wait for the flow to stop. When the gurgling sound stops, the flow has stopped and the cell is filled. I can not speak to the longevity of this battery filler, but for the price $12.89 I think it's a good value. Now that it’s over $24 not as much.If either the nozzle or the fill cap is loose, the battery will be over filled.
