once you start using this product, you have several years(3-4) to cope money and go to hair transplant (and I did so). any other solutions (minoxidil included) for genetic alopecia are not permanent and some of them (Tablets) dangerous for hormones. that said, this product is very effective product and I'm still using general strengthing for hair that left on my scalp.now, I'm planning second transplant to finish my partial baldness and complexes. whish you good health and hair like Garu has(from OPM).

If you're getting a 3-count, there's a chance you're new to minoxidil and want to try it out or you've used it before and know you'll require less than the suggested amount. This was my first time going with a 3-count as I get by with applying 0.5-1 mL of minoxidil 3-5 days a week, only once a day currently. I did use it every day in the past, but always once a day. I've always found that there would be unused bottles when the expiration date comes around, hence trying this quantity out instead.It's worth noting that 3-count packages aren't something officially sold by Kirkland, so anyone selling this quantity is just taking the bottles out of a 6- or 12-count package and reselling them. That's fine, but you have to consider the value and safety proposition. Would you risk someone potentially tampering with the product like this to save a couple bucks, or would you dish out up to two or three more dollars to pay for something reliable from an official retailer? For reference, my purchase was $15.99 (+ $1.60 tax). Costco currently sells a 6-count for $17.99 near me. The least you can do is check the seller's history if you're keen on going with a 3-count like this. I'd like to assume the best in people, but you never know.That said, I've applied the minoxidil once since receiving it (it's literally settling in my scalp right now). Based on the side effects I get, this seems like genuine minoxidil. It passes the smell test, too. I'll use this for as long as it lasts. If I find that it doesn't work after a couple months, I'll be sure to update this review.Packaging was kind of a dud, but will likely differ by who fulfills it. It came in one of those mail packages lined with bubble wrap on the inside. I received the three bottles with a dropper, but there was not any individual wrapping or protection around the dropper so it came a bit loose from the base when I pressed on my scalp. I ended up using my previous dropper.If you're a long-time user and don't want to let any unused bottles go to waste, this might be an okay deal for you. If you're new and trying minoxidil out for the first time or are fine maybe not using the whole supply before or shortly after expiry, I'd just go to Costco and pay a couple more dollars for the 6-count.

Alright, this is going to be a little long but I have been using minoxidil 5% as directed for a year now and since they say the best results won't be seen until about a year, I'm finally ready to write a review. First a little background on me...I'm 25 now and was around 18 when I noticed my hair falling out. However, I started out with pretty thick hair so I didn't notice it becoming visibly thinner until I was 21. Hair loss runs in my family and is worse on my dad's side. He and both his brother's have pattern 5 class 7 balding on the Norwood scale. For anyone who isn't familiar with the Norwood scale, that is the worst possible balding. The entire top is hairless and you just have hair on the sides and back of your head. So after watching my hair become thinner and thinner for three years, I started using minoxidil when I was 24. At first I didn't like the oiliness that it gave my hair. Like a lot of people have said, it takes a long time to dry (probably about an hour). However, after a few months I started to like the texture of my hair better after the minox had dried than if I just let my hair dry without putting anything in it. And to avoid that hour period where it looks really oily I started using a blow dryer, holding it pretty far from my head just for a few seconds to get it almost dry. The first couple months of using it, it kind of made my head itch sometimes but that never happens anymore and it wasn't as bad for me as it apparently is for some people. Another problem I had with it was what I first thought was dandruff but later realized was just the dried minoxidil flaking off my scalp. This can be avoided to some degree by washing your hair everyday but I still get little flakes sometimes. So after two or three weeks I thought I was entering the shedding phase. It never really stopped though and I'm not sure if I was shedding more than I was before I started using it. My bathroom sink still constantly has hair in and around it. After a month or so of using it I started getting peach fuzz in the front corners and to this day it is still peach fuzz - short, clear and not visible from more than a few inches away. As for my hair everywhere else, I'd say it's about the same as when I started using it - maybe a little thinner but maybe a little less thin than it would have been if I hadn't been using this stuff. In conclusion, I'm going to keep using this stuff because I don't think it hurts and it makes me feel like I'm doing something to fight my MPB. I've tried Saw Palmetto supplement, Nioxin and Revivogen shampoo and, as with the minox, I'm not sure if they make any difference. But kirkland minoxidil is super cheap so even though I haven't seen obvious hair regrowth or less shedding, I'm going to keep using it.

I am in my late 40s and I am beginning to see my hair thinning. Every morning, I used to see about 10 pieces of hair on the sink. Since using this on my head daily, I now see only about 1-2 pieces of hair on the sink. Instead of using the droplet that comes with the package, I pour the chemical into a small spray bottle and it's easier to apply on my scalp.
