Soothing, smoothing the vocal cords.
Probably honey and lemon would work straight, but this has the added value of being a tea to hydrate the vocal cords.Try the spray too.I find it really helps improve my voice.

Funny taste
It's ok, didn't really help soothe my throat, and it has a really funny taste to it, especially when getting to the end of the drink. That is just me though, it may well be to others liking.

Vocal zone at its finest
I’ve been using vocalzone for a few years now and I recently switched to the vocalzone tea. I add a little honey and just leave the teabag in a sealed flask cup and drink as desired. I top up using the same teabag.This is so effective and easy to use. It’s total value for money. My vocal cords feel stronger and the effect lasts a couple of days. It really soothes the throat and I can sing for longer with no problems.I’ve even recommended it to other singers who now use it and have noticed the same as I have.Brilliant invention and an absolute must for any serious singer

My daughter, who sings in a band, uses this tea regularly to soothe her throat - it's very effective and tastes good too
