Nice for smaller birds
Cage is nice for my two parakeets. Roomy and sturdy enough for them. You could put a few larger birds in it, but I wouldn't use it for parrots or stronger birds. I like the larger doors to access the top as well as the bottom, but one of my birds did get out easily when I opened the top large door. It has plenty of perches, which are important for birds with clipped wings. They can hop from perch to perch to get around the cage. This cage has lots of room for toys and accessories. I gave it four stars because it is not as sturdy as it could be, but as I said, sturdy enough for smaller birds.

Prevue Hendrix Flight Cage
I bought this bird cage for our 2 little orange cheek waxbill finches. They need horizontal flight, but so far are doing well flying Up & Down ! They sell it with 3 long, side to side perches and 2 wide cups for seed & water. Easy to hook sides together. Use pliers to make sure loops stay. Wire bottom and tray comes out to put new newspaper. Good price. Thank you Amazon for the $50.gift credit toward it if you get their VISA card!

Slightly flimsy
But easy to assemble and after all it is holding only three parakeets, so being super strong is not a must. Tons of room for them and I like the fact that there are four doors (two small& two big), giving my easy access to the interior

Very Big
This cage is huge. You won't be able to move it around the house easily, so you will want to find a good location for it before you put your bird(s) in. It can be moved if needed, but you won't be able to hang it and won't want to move it throughout the day. It is over three feet tall, so even if you were six feet, it would be half of your height.I have one larger than average parakeet. She is able to fly up to the top perch. Although she usually prefers to make short hops and climb up the sides.I feel better that she has a little room to fly and get some exercise. The cage that came free with her at the pet store wasn't big enough for her to do much.

versatile and functional
I bought this as a vacation cage to take to my friend's house while I was out of town. Six birds spend 2 weeks in there and were fine. I would not put more than 3-4 full time though and only if they got on very well.It was easy to put together and if you leave off the bottom half it can be used as a smaller flight cage for 1-2 birds. It is a great extra cage to have around because of this versatility. Right now I have a bird in quarantine in it just using the top half.It easily breaks down for storage when not needed too. Also, I bought this used for about $50. I would not pay full price for it because you can get the Prevue F040 for just a little more and it is well worth the extra. That is my permanent cage.

I like this cage the best
I like the option for the doors. Also that I can connect the outside bath and or feeders to the two bottom smaller doors. The two large doors are great. I would stick with this one for my birds. I have a cockatiel in this cage. I think he is fine in it. house. Mostly he is on my shoulder all day. I also have parakeets. I don't like the two different cages I have for them. I will most likely end up buying this cage for them too

My Canary Loves It - and so do I!!!
Both items better than expected. The wire on the cage was a little flimsy but it was for a canary so it worked fine and gave her plenty of "flight" space. Canaries need at least 15" to 18" for exercising and this more than exceeded that. Love that cage and so does Goldie (the canary.) You ought to hear her sing now!

Great value.
me and my finches LOOOOOVE this cage. At first I was a little discouraged that they never went to the 'bottom floor' of thier home, but then I found out they did, when I wasnt around - or when the food gets low "upstairs" ! So they make use of the entire cage and Im hoping to breed now. Great value.

Great cage, though a little wobbly.
Liking the cage a lot so far. Converting it into a rat cage because the dimensions were great for the space I needed to put it in. Will make a great cage for the two young rats I'm bringing home soon and the platforms I'm adding will add a lot of stability to the cage. The only downfall is that it's a little wobbly. The cage could use something to keep it sturdier, especially due to its height, but it could work for smaller animals/birds. Also, some animals may be able to figure out the sliding doors and open them themselves. I've solved this by zip tying mine shut because I don't need them. Keep this in mind. Good cage. You get what you pay for.

All though this cage was cheap enough, I was ...
All though this cage was cheap enough, I was not very impressed. It's very flimsy, the bottom grate does not pull out. So for cleaning it you have to try to maneuver it through the door. There is a ledge that the grate sits on that is a real collector of droppings and seeds and is hard to clean. I'll be selling this cage as I bought the Prevue Hendryx wrought iron flight cage, X-Large (the larger version of the F040) My 2 budgies should be happy
