Renegade Game Studios Bargain Quest: The Black Market Expansion Game for 2-8 Players Aged 8 & Up

Love the base game and this only makes it better! The value for the components was more than I thought. The black market mechanic doesnt complicate the existing base game mechanics which is a plus and it just adds more charm with an alternate in game currency for more of the same great silly items for your heroes. Nine new monsters a good assortment of heroes and items to acquire. Definitely recommend the Black Market expansion!

Played it immediately with the 2 player variant rules and black market added more usage to the star tokens.

Arrived in great condition and a cool expansion to the base game. Would recommend.

Bargain Quest is a fun charming game. I backed it during the second printing and I have played it with the “advance” rules for 2 players and with the normal rules for 4 players. Every time we had a blast. 4/5 because it is not perfect, not overly balanced, and because it feels like the coins should have been metal. However, the art is spectacular and it has a lot of humor for those with even a mild interest in fantasy adventure settings, ei D&D, Harry Potter, etc.

Very fun expansion!

Adds a lot of great cards and bosses, and the two extra shop boards are awesome. The Black Market cards themselves are strong enough to warrant the reputation cost of the shop upgrade and some add unique and/or lasting abilities. Keeping the black cards separate as the game goes on can be tedious. Doesn't add to the play time but adds a lot to the replay value.
