Stacked 3 boxes of books no problem
We're in the process of moving, and had about 40 small, but heavy boxes of books to bring up from the basement. We own a refrigerator dolly, but it's dirty and I didn't want to use it on the carpet. My husband was skeptical that this lightweight cart would work, but he's a believer now! He stacked 3 boxes of books at a time and secured the top ones with a piece of rope or bungee cord. He was able to pull this up our stairs fairly easily. He's 6'2" and the longer handle on this particular cart makes all the difference. For me (5'6" and out-of-shape) a single box of books at a time was all I could safely manage. It was a struggle for me to pull the weight uphill, but at least I could rest the cart on each step as it rolled up. I couldn't have carried the same box up the stairs in my arms. The bottom shelf looks wimpy but has held up fine, and it is very close to the floor for loading. We're careful to always use both handles, and have had no problems. We're retired, so we're keeping this around to save our backs.

Great invention for getting heavy things up and down stairs
The handles are difficult to collapse down, but I just leave them in the extended position. I have 14 wooden steps that I need to haul wood up. I Also use the cart to get luggage and groceries up the stairs. It works great! I can make fewer trips up the stairs with heavier loads. Makes life a lot easier!

CHEAP PRODUCT!! No customer service contact
This product is not good!! The wheels fold and you can not move or lift your load. We use it twice and it broke on the second use, granted it was less than 100lbs. There is not a customer service number to call to get a replacement! Although this is a cheap plastic product and I would much rather get my money back.

Folds too easily; more for heavy duty use.
Bought this for elderly parents to make it easier to bring things up from their basement. Ended up returning because it folds up too easily and we were afraid it would collapse unexpectedly. We also felt it was a little too heavy duty for their needs as they would not be lifting heavy weights upstairs. It's also a little too wide for the path up their stairwell, as they have a few items on the edges, and it's not super wide to begin with. Decent product, but not for our intentions. They REALLY should work out the design flaw of it folding too easy before someone gets hurt. If you want to use it for heavy items, you might be ok because the weight of the item (s) would probably keep it open. It shipped in a secure box, arrived quickly, returned no problem. No assembly was needed.

Great Value! Well Built!
So far I really like this dolly. I bought this to haul my camera gear into homes and condos and especially for going up and down stairs. I used it in the field for the first time yesterday on a photo shoot and It performed very well. It felt solid as I climbed and descended the stairs. The long handle also helps so I am not having to bend over too far as I pull the dolly up the stairs. My camera bag weighs about 55 Lbs. I love the fact that it collapses too. Very convenient. I'm not sure how well it would perform with 200 LBS on it but I didn't purchase this for heavy lifting.

Exactly as advertised...but I didn't push the weight limit
I lived on the 3rd floor of an apartment building with no elevator. I bought this after much research to handle boxes and furniture like book shelves and night stands. I thought it worked really well and handled the stairs really nicely. Some reviewers mentioned that the unit is bad on corners, but I didn't notice any problem. One thing I did note, even with loads around 100lbs the handle would bend. I did not push this to it's 200lb capacity, and I wouldn't recommend it. I give it 5 stars because, for me, it worked exactly as advertised, was easy to use, was priced fairly, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Not helpful to elderly
Great idea, but it’s heavy and awkward for my elderly parents. I bought it for them to help with laundry and groceries up the stairs.

This dolly works exactly as advertized.
This dolly is well made and substantially built. Essentially, it turns a staircase into a flat ramp. Any user strong enough to move 200 pounds up or down a flat ramp will have no problem handling that weight on a staircase with this dolly. Of course, most loads will be much less than 200 pounds and with lighter weights it will handle stairs very easily.
