excellent product with great support
i bought this product after looking into a lot of other braces. this brace provides solid support without causing your foot to fall asleep. before, i've been using the spandex type with 2 long bandages attached to it. i've also used the type that you lace up, typically made of leather or like material. i'm sure most people know the type of products i've been using. both provided pretty good support but it was just too uncomfortable to use during basketball. my foot would not get the blood circulation and was just irritating. most times than not, i end up having to readjust and/or just take off the whole thing.i've been using this brace for about 4 weeks now, about 2 times a week for basketball. this provides the support you want without the irritation. period. solid product that does its job. only con i've found is that the ankle cushion is just not enough. i just put a folded sock on the inner side of my ankle and it is perfect.definitely give this brace a look cause it is just great, especially for this price range. nothing else that i've tried (spandex w/ 2 bandages, lace-up, and individual bandages) was this comfortable and supportive.UPDATE: 8/1/2013I've meant to update this review earlier but forgot to. I stopped using the brace when I was looking to get a second pair for both ankles about 1 year after my purchase. The reason why I stopped using them was because I found the Active Ankle T-2 to have superior padding around the ankles (without the need for an extra sock for padding) and the strap that goes around the brace was much larger which felt more secure. In fact, the brace itself was much larger as well. But I'm sure I'll keep this one as an emergency back-up whenever I need one.

Amazing Support for Recovery – Highly Recommend!
The Mueller Lite Ankle Brace has been a lifesaver for my son! After breaking his ankle in multiple places, we were worried about how well he’d recover and get back to playing soccer. But with this brace, he’s been able to play full games without any issues! It provides excellent support, is comfortable to wear, and doesn’t restrict his movement on the field. I highly recommend it for anyone recovering from ankle injuries—it’s truly made a difference in his confidence and ability to play again. A fantastic product!

Returned
It’s light, but it fits terribly. I wear a women’s size 9, so I’m within the supposed range, but even swollen, my ankle sloshed around inside of this brace. It didn’t fit in any pair of shoes I owned. Being too big for my ankle and shoes, the strap still managed to be too short. I actually had to use a strap from something else just to get it on. Even with this new strap tightened to the point of leaving marks (by the brace and the strap), the brace slid down my ankle as soon as I lifted my foot. This brace is useless. I actually purchased one for each ankle, but I didn’t even both with the second one. I returned both. These were an utter waste of money, no matter the size of your foot/ankle.

Foot brace
Would be perfect if the bottom part that goes under your foot was soft . Instead it’s a hard piece of plastic. Is uncomfortable for me. I was looking for this short type of brace rather than the taller brace.

Stroke patient
This has been very helpful for our son that is a stroke survivor. He has been able to be a little more productive and not having the fear of turning his ankle.Since he has one side paralyzed, it is pretty difficult for him to put it on himself.

BEST ANKLE BRACE I HAVE FOUND!
I have been playing sports my entire life. At my current age I have focused on basketball and that is 95% of what I use this brace for. I have two bad ankles, and one of them isn't just bad but is pretty much made of rubber now. Without a support it will roll over without anything more than simply stopping and/or planting my foot. The brace fits nicely in my shoe and the support comes up high enough to supply ample support to my ankle. I do recommend that you strap the Velcro strop high on the brace as the bottom of that strap can rub the back part of your foot, just above your heel. This can cause a nasty blister or rub that breaks the skin. But I have had no problems since moving it up higher. The one thing I would recommend for this brace is to provide an opening where your ankle bone lines up on the brace. The "cushion" that is provided inside the brace is VERY thin and if you have a sharp or pointy ankle bone like I do, it can become very sore after an hour or two of being active. I have actually drilled a hole to provide comfort.Get this brace before your ankles become rubber like mine. I wish I had worn this before so that my ankles were still good and strong. The truth is, you WILL sprain your ankle if you are active in sports, especially basketball.

Preventative measure
I've played sports all my life and I have only just started playing volleyball. I have never had an ankle injury. But now I play the middle position which means that I am jumping and blocking and sometimes defenders on the other side of the net end up on your foot and cause injury. I have rolled my ankles several times but thankfully I have never sprained my ankle, but I have become paranoid about getting injured so I bought these ankle braces. They are great! You simply slip them into your shoes, ease your feet in with socks. I thought they would be uncomfortable but the first time I wore them I was playing in a tournament so I played all day and at no time did I remember that I was wearing a brace! They are a great investment for any athlete who has a history of ankle injuries and for people like me who want to prevent injuries. They are light weight and adjust to any size ankle. My ankles are skinny and they adjust nicely. I researched the different brands and I didn't want to pay too much so I bought Mueller that seemed to do the same thing as the more expensive ones and I am happy with my choice and you will be too!
