Worked great as blotter pad

Do not buy this thinking its blotting paper. Mine just arrived and I am sending it back straight away. Someone is making good money out of selling ordinary thick A4 paper for £0.40 per sheet. It does not blot anything. DO NOT BUY.

I do calligraphy so wanted a good blotting paper and this was all I could find. When it arrived it felt like good quality writing paper, not blotting paper. It is slightly absorbent but not a patch on the old pink stuff that you used to get. I suppose people don't write with ink pens (if they write by hand at all). It is serving the purpose but you have to be very precise with your blotting or it smudges because it is not soft enough to soak the ink up straightaway.

I had high hopes for this product and was expecting good old fashioned blotting paper which used to come in one colour (pink) which I was finding impossible to source. However this is not blotting paper it's a sort of thickish, shiny paper that doesn't blot but smudges gel ink if you're not careful. I couldn't recommend and am still hunting for the real thing.

This so-called blotting paper does not absorb ink. It is just ordinary paper. Do not waste your money. As others have said, you are better off using a paper towel.

I found this item functional but not as absorbant as I expected. The paper seems to be too 'thick' in texture and if applied too soon 'squidges' the ink as well as absorbing it.
