Cinderella [Blu-ray]

Disney lately has taken to adapting some of its much-beloved animated movies into live-action films. Some of them are not good, others are merely adequate. But this movie is downright magical. Keeping the wholesomeness of the original animated movie as well as injecting a wonderful sentimentality. Truly this was something I have always wanted to see; I just did not know it at the time.Disney did not create the story of Cinderella, but it is created the enduring version of Cinderella and now it has another version to be proud of. Ella, a young girl growing up in a humble but loving home endures heartbreak when her mother dies of an illness which leads to a sad but still warm life with her father. Over time the girl grows to become a young woman as her father finds love with another woman, one that he hopes can keep his family and house happy again but the woman though beautiful on the outside is something else on the inside as she is pained with the constant reminder of her new stepdaughter. Grief is ignited for all as Ella’s father dies and from there the stepmother’s anger at the loss of her spouse leads to her taking advantage of her stepdaughter at the expense of her own daughters. She oppresses Ella, but it does not scar Ella to total despair as she meets a handsome man who is something far more than she can imagine.All this leading to a grand ball in the honor of the handsome man but Ella is left out at the behest of her wicked stepmother. But the girl’s years of kindness are rewarded when a magical being grants her the time of her life.I could go on, but it is a tale that most should know by now, and even if one doesn’t it becomes something more, a reimagining but faithful to the original story. One that made me so happy. I loved this take on the Cinderella story as well as the marvelous acting, special effects, and amazing scenery. The costumes themselves were just as phenomenal including the beautiful dress transformation and the iconic glass slippers.With a cast of splendid actors and actresses, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Hayley Atwell, Stellan Skarsgaard, Richard Madden, and its brightest star in Lily James in the role of Cinderella made this a great movie.I must say I loved this movie and am so glad to have it in 4K Blu-ray and digital copy.

It’s exactly as you would expect it, which is a good thing. Movie is very vivid and shot well with gorgeous set design and costumes. The disc itself was flawless with no scratches and no skips or freezing as the movie played.

The whole product works! Both the 4K ULTRA HD Disc and the Blu-ray Disc work as expected!! Some reviews had me wondering - for example I also ordered a second set which has the triple Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD, but this second Blu-ray does not work. However, I am confident Amazon will replace it with good Blu-ray that works!Now, whatever the conflict between Disney and Lily James is - please resolve it quickly, Disney. Lily James is one of the key reasons we loved this Disney Cinderella 2015. Her voice … !! Treat her as a special individual above many others, and do not treat her with the cookie-cutter contract. Bend a little!!Thank you.

We love this flick. And Cate Blanchett is the ultimate tragic horror of a human being. She almost pulls off being pitiable.

I had just recently purchased a UHD 4K tv and a Dolby atmos system and the picture and sound is awesome. I hope to see more 4K UHD movies out there.

I’ve seen many Cinderella movies. This is my favorite Cinderella movie. It’s sweet, entertaining, and has the best message at the end! The graphics are great. It was mailed as promised. This belongs in your collection too.

How can Cinderella not include “So This Is Love,” the most famous song from the original movie? They made sure to include bippidy-boppidy-boo and “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”, which are only found within the credits. Not including “So This is Love” is the most glaring omission from the film, and that alone is worthy of a one-star deduction. Other than that, Cinderella 2015 is one of the best live-action Disney remakes of all time.

Cate Blanchett def made this movie. All acting really good. Even though everyone knows the overall story the changes they made with the effects make it seem like you are watching the story for the first time.
