Update Review: I have changed this to 5 stars now! I upgraded my Dashcam and it works now as expected. It shows support for Nextbase 222 but I don’t believe it does. My new Nextbase 322gw works flawlessly with this cable now, super easy to install and works a treat, especially Parking Mode. ——— Wouldn’t recommend at all. Get the fused one instead. The dashcam doesn’t power off, it stays on constantly, slightest wind and it’s lit up like a Xmas tree filming a brick wall for hours because the Parking Mode has to be on. At least the fuse one can be linked to a powered fuse that’s only live via the key allowing the dashcam to power down when not in use. I’m now having to remove the dashcam after every journey until I can get round to wiring up the fused one. Of course, I could be missing a trick, but I’m good with tech, and have done a lot of research and nothing points to being able to just power off my Nextbase 222 when you use the OBD one. I would return it if I could, but I’ve used it now not sure I can.

It makes it nice and easy to set up

This kit was very easy to fit and contained everything I needed to perform an install in my Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. As this vehicle has a very large drive battery supporting the quite small auxiliary (12V) battery I was able to choose one of the permanent-supply 12 volt fuses in the fusebox to piggyback off and run the dashcam. Plenty of cable length meant nothing needed to be extended.

I purchased this kit to hardwire my nextbase 322gw dash cam into my hyundai kona. Upon opening the box I found that the kit didn't include a fuse tap compatble with my car. I contacted nextbase customer service and they sent me a fuse tap to fit free of charge. Once I got this the actual fitting of the cable was fairly easy although it would have been a nice touch to of included a prying tool to help getting the cable behind the door seals. The length of the cable is excellent I had to wrap mine up because I had so much left. One other small problem I had was that the spade connector for the earth was a bit small. It would be fine if you were using a 5mm bolt to mount it to but the two available bolts I had were 6mm and 8mm. I just managed to get it to fit on the 6mm bolt. All in all though a well made kit just lost a star on marks because didn't include the fuse tap for my car as standard and small size Spade connector. But the customer service is excellent if you need to contact them.

Easy to install, good quality, and works exactly as expected. Keeps the dash cam powered neatly with no visible cables. Worth it.

Does the job, good quality and long enough.

I bought the wife a dashcam for xmas, and to be fair I was putting off installing it as i didn't want to ruin the interior of the car, but went all in nd bought this fitting kit...there was no reason to be worried! Pro's VERY LONG cables, probably to ensure you could wire it into the engine bay if need be, so be prepared with cable ties if your installation route for the cables was a short one like mine. Cables are very well insulated so you are unlikely to damage them during installation, but not overly huge so the main power cable can easily be tucked into the lining and down door seals etc. Comes with both standard (old style) fuse fittings and the newer "micro" fuse adaption, and was easy to install directly into the fuse box by pulling out the fuse, insert the adaption and plug your existing fuse into the socket provided. Then a case of connecting the main power terminals together (RED) and finding a suitable earth location for the black wire. You also get a suppression ferrite for the cables, thought fiddly to fit without using a small tool to pop it open. Cons : NONE, I can not recommend this kit enough to be honest, took about an hour to install, and would have been less if I had simply prepared better, and it wasn't bloody freezing!!! LOL. Advisories : Like any electrical installation, if you are not sure what to do, get a professional to install it, you will need knowledge of fuse boxes and a volt meter/12v tester is essential for finding either a switched or continuous power supply depending on the operation of the dashcam requirements.

The cable in this kit is probably long enough to wire up a dashcam on a boat! Instructions were easy to follow and connecting to the car’s fuse assembly with the piggy-back fuse provided was really simple. It even comes with a plastic prising tool to make it easy to slip the cable behind panels/roof lining etc. I bought it to connect my newly purchased 322GW front & rear camera bundle (direct from Nextbase), Sadly, the 322GW bundle itself is a disappointment. It’s impossible to read number plates on any vehicle that isn’t just a few feet away. Video quality and clarity are a real let down and I’d recommend getting something else.

Matériels universels pour différentes voitures, j'ai utilisé ce kit d'alimentation pour une Dashcam NextBase 522GW sur un 3008-2. Tout c'est bien passé, les explications d'installations sont très claires, livré avec 2 types de fusible, dans mon cas j'ai utilisé le petit modèle. Livré aussi avec un outil permettant de cacher le câble derrière les caoutchoucs et divers panneaux. Très satisfait de mon achat.

Der Einbau der Kamera mit diesem Set war lächerlich einfach.Stecker rein und das war's. Bei ATU wollten die für den Einbau 80 Euro haben, plus Kabelset (allerdings das Hardwire Set für Sicherung). Ich bin begeistert, denn die Kamera bekommt alles was sie braucht über diesen Stecker

Komplettkabelsatz der sehr gut verarbeitet ist. Einbau erfordert Fachkenntnis für korrekten Abgriff der Spannung und der korrekten Verlegung im Fahrzeug um Störsignale in der Fahrzeugelektronik und um Konflikte mit Seiten- und / oder Frontairbags zu vermeiden!
