Medway Easy Toilet Riser - Extra Tall Toilet

Found this by accident when looking for plastic seat risers for a handicapped person. They had been using a plastic riser on top of the toilet and underneath the seat cover. They usually lifted up the seat cover and sat on the insert. It was not at all comfortable. Also, it was difficult to clean all the parts at the top of the toilet. It was sometimes a real mess. This lifts the total toilet up. It is very sturdy and makes everything so much easier to keep clean. Got separate safety bars that go to the floor. They can be moved to either clean or use the toilet as a "regular" toilet now. Install was easy because I got a plumber to do it. All the parts were there. I wish I had seen this years ago. The bathroom looks so much better now and is very useable. Buy this either for your own home or as a gift for someone. I think it helps them to maintain dignity because it looks like a regular toilet set up just for them. It does look like a "throne".

If you are familiar with replacing the wax seal on the toilet, this is not much more than that. Only hiccup was instead of supplying two long bolts as shown here and in the instructions, they supplied two standard bolts with a threaded sleave and additional 4" headless bolt. It was not clear how to align that sleave so it would fit and remain tight (as it spins easily when both bolts screwed in). As mentioned elsewhere, it is 1/4" short when using an elliptical toilet. So the toilet slightly hangs over the edge of the riser. Unlike other reviews, I found it absolutely solid when I stood on it or sat on the toilet once placed. There was no give. They supplied the two wax rings. But I prefer the rings with the built in plastic sleeves to get a better alignment. Those are only a dollar or so at the local hardware store. This is a great replacement to a 4" riser toilet seat. Makes the toilet and seat easier to clean. And enables you at add a bidet or similar enhanced toilet seat option.

I ALREADY WROTE A REVIEW ABOUT THIS RISE BUT SINCE YOU SENT ME AN UPDATE AND I HAVE HAD IT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS I WILL UPDATE IT BUT I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING ANY BETTER. THERE JUST ISN'T ANYTHING TO BEAT THIS IN LOKS AND ABILITY TO DO WHAT YOU NEED IT TO DO. NO MORE UGLY UNSIGHTLY BIG CUSHIONS OR HARD PLASTIC THINGS STRAPPED TO YOUR TOILET SEAT THAT IS A MESS TO KEEP CLEAN AND DOWNRIGHT EMBARRASSING WHEN COMPANY COMES. THIS IS AWESOME. BECAUSE AS YOU SEE IT LIFTS THE WHOLE TOILET UP NOT JUST THE SEAT PART WHEN YOU HAVE KNEE PROB, OR BACK TROUBLES OR WHATEVER AND THE NORMAL SEATS ARE TOO LOW, THIS IS THE ONE TO GET. FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE IS A COPYCAT OUT THERE BUT IF YOU READ THE REVIEWS YOU WILL SEE THAT ONE LEAKS AND HAS ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS. THIS ONE MAN OH MAN. I DON'T THINK THERE ARE ANY BAD REVIEWS. ONLY A COUPLE THAT SAID IT TOOK THEM A LONG TIME TO INSTALL IT. BUT THEY PROBABLY HAD ZERO KNOWLEDGE AT ALL FOR ANYONE WITH JUST A SMALL AMOUNT OF MAINTENANCE ABILITY CAN PUT THIS TOGETHER IN JUST OVER AN HOUR. THE ONLY HELP YOU MIGHT NEED IS ANOTHER PERSON TO HELP YOU LIFR THE MAIN TOILET TO MOVE IT AND PUT IN BACK ON BECAUSE IT WEIGH'S ABOUT 60 LBS. IT IS SOO WONDERFUL. WORKS PERFECT. AND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. I HAVE HAD SOO MANY COMPLIMENTS. AND THE FRONT CORNERS OF THE BASE ARE PERFECT FOR VISITORS THAT ARE SHORT BECAUSE THEY CAN REST THEIR HEELS ON THE EDGES INSTEAD OF HAVING TO HANG THEM DOWN AND LOSE THEIR CIRCULATION. THE CORNERS ARE LARGE ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE BACK OF A PERSONS HEEL AND MIDDLE OF THE FOOT TO REST THERE. SOO ALL I CAN SAY IS I HAD NEVER EVEN KNEW THEY MADE ANYTHING LIKE THIS. tHANK YOU aMAZON. ALSO, THE PRICE BLEW ME AWAY. IT WAS ONLY $91.00 THIS IS A STEEL. ALL THE HARDWARE AND EVERYTHING WAS RIGHT THERE IN IT. WE DID BUY A BETTER SEAL BUT THAT WAS JUST A COUPLE OF DOLLARS.

Its a great idea but needs to be adjustable in length . Have to send mine back . It was to long and would have to cut left corner off due it hitting water supply line . And did not find it heavy enough to support a toilet . When I stepped on it it give some . Could not get mine lined up with Waste pipe due to water line in the way .Could be made adjustable in length and made a bit heavier in thickness . Did not have much on the under side for Support .No support braces etc . My Water supply line is about 2 inches from the wall and about two inches offset from the toilet Tank inlet connection .

Very inexpensive alternative to buying a chair high toilet. Very pleased with the quality, seems to be very well made. Came with everything needed to change your ordinary toilet into one that’s much easier for elderly or those with a disability to get to their feet. Instillation was very simple, from start to finish it was done in 45 minutes. If you have any issues with your knees, this is a life saver.

The toilet works on their so called large, but it sticks out an 1 1/2" in the back. Top of the riser is not flat with a large gap in front you can see in the picture. Doesn't hold it's place on the floor, easily shifts even after being tightened down. Will have to caulk the toilet to hide the gap, and on the floor to keep the riser from moving. I was replacing the toilet and didn't want to spend $400 on a tall toilet. I'm 6'4". The riser is a good heigth, that's about all I have to say that's good about this product. It looks like an after thought. I should've just bought the right toilet to begin with.

It helps with the knee pain of getting up on the low old toilet. Was worth the effort to install.
