I have a Yard-Man (different from a Lawn-Boy) mower which I bought used maybe 20 years ago. Twenty inch blade, Tecumseh engine. I have maintained it with oil changes, air filters, and spark plugs. Nothing too prissy: I change the filter and sharpen the blade when I put it away in the fall. I have replaced the primer bulb a few times; easy deal. However, twice in the past two years the power plant has malfunctioned--wandering rpms--and both times I have ordered this carburetor. I open the box, lay out the parts, remove the old carburetor and install the new one and Presto! it runs as new. All in all, the mower--even used as it was--has been a pretty good investment. Having this important part easily available and a no-brainer to install has made it even better.

Worked great. Put it on the lawn boy and it started after 3 pulls the first time. The next day I primed it 5 times and it started on the first pull. Couldn't ask for better. BTW..I videoed the spring position when taking the old carb off so I'd get it in the same hole..

Same fit, looks similar. Gasket isn't the best cut out, but everything works, and we're off to the races.The original Tecumseh carb seem very basic and easy to repair, but that jello and corrosion just did too much.
