Great clips for joining thin metal panels.
Great little kit with clips and screws for joining thin panels. But these are not meant to hold a lot of torque or heavy weight. These are strictly lightweight pieces. Once the screw is tight, give it a little extra snug and walk away. Prestart the screw in clip before installing clip. A drop of WD-40 will get a stubborn screw started. If you bear down on these or you are trying to hold some heavyweight panels together, you need something else. Also, these screws are low grade despite the color. Don't think of going King Kong on them or they will probably strip. Also noticed that the #10 screws have a knob for a self locking operation on the bottom of the head. I needed this kit for the #10s, so I filed the knob off because it won't work in my application. In fact, I may need to get a different #10 screw altogether for my application, but it will work fine for now and I was mainly after the U clips which seem like good quality for the price. The clips are not overly long, so if you need them to straddle a very far distance to an existing hole, they may not work or will come very close.
