Perfect working machines!
I have many different ones of these, but i have mostly the 340 version, and i prefer this CP2102 version. This was a bargain price but every one of them works great! Great value! PS Many people seem to forget that these things work fine at 160Mhz as well as 80! Go for it.....who needs a Pico? These beat 'em hands down!

Fantastic little dev board
The media could not be loaded. Ā I believe this works right out of the box with Linux, specifically Raspian distro on Raspberry Pi 4 desktop with Arduino IDE setup, though I did flash firmware using the recommended settings in description on my 64 bit, Windows 10 machine at some point. I have no issue connecting to wifi, checking NTP Pool Server, reading data from my hardware sensors and printing to dot matrix display. Fantastic little dev board, ording more for other projects!

read the back of the board. it tells you to download a driver. then you can easily flash the chip with tasmotizer . so much fun solving some home automation problem with

Makes an excellent platform for remote sensors and home automation
A super low cost MCU with Wifi that's as easy to use as a serial port. Includes TCP/IP stacks. Can upload recorded data to remote servers. I used mine with an air quality sensor and temperate humidity sensor.

badly bent pens
three of the esp8266 arrived with badly bent pins.I suspect because the manufacturer packaged them poorly in a ziplock bag and Amazon shipped it in an envelope.I was able to use one of the unbent processors and it worked fine but I don't feel like straightening several dozen pins on the remaining so I will be returning this product for another manufacturer.

Exactly what's on the tin.
These were fantastic and easy to flash with my custom Tasmota image. The USB DOES supply power for those who were wondering.
