I thought these would be a good inexpensive choice for sprucing up my kitchen
I thought these would be a good inexpensive choice for sprucing up my kitchen. I live in a rental so they seemed like the perfect option, but it wound up being way more costly than anticipated. Because these tiles have uneven edges the surface area they cover is significantly less than you would expect. For instance, for all perimeter edges you need to cut off the first row (or half row) of tiles. I mistakenly calculated the square footage based on the dimensions of the square sheet and ordered 2 boxes of 10 sheets, which should have been more than enough. Well, once I got started it became clear that 2 boxes were not going to cut it. In the end, I wound up purchasing 4 boxes- and spending about $180 in the process. I didn't find the application as nightmarish as other reviews I have read and the end result was definitely an improvement, I just wish I had purchased square tiles vs. these Moroccan inspired ones- it would have been much cheaper and easier to apply. Also I find that the jade color is really more of a grey, it still looks nice, but not as advertised.

Takes a lot more tiles than anticipated; looks nice
At first I got the subway tile pattern and that did not look right. It looked fake. So I asked for an exchange for Damask Jade. I was worried that Jade would be too green and I was relieved to see that it was exactly like in the picture- almost gray with a tint of green. I purchased cheap stick-on vinyl floor tiles from Lowe's and stuck them on the walls first. This allowed me to reapply the product many times to get the pattern right. Some places it was not easy and it was very time-consuming. One thing I discovered in the process – it takes a lot more tiles then you would think because you have to match the pattern and you can't just cut the tiles and have straight edges; you have to apply it to the previous opening in the pattern. For example, for 6"x48" under my window it took 6 tiles! (288 sq. in area required 600 sq in in purchase of these tiles). So 2 tiles of 10" in the best case scenario only barely makes 18" and not 20". So in the end, I ended up spending 3 times the amount I anticipated. The overall look is nice enough with my butcher block countertop. Although the seams are starting to show, not sure if they will stay put and not open up.

Great looking and realitvely easy to install
I bought this for the kitchen. However, I decided to use it only on one section only. The design is too small and therefore doesn't look appealing to me for kitchen tiles. Had it been larger (similar to regular tiles size) it would've been perfect. It does however look very nice where I installed. One thing to note which is not clear in the instructions; you need to start from top left and move your way to the right then down. Sort of a zigzag from top left to bottom right. I didn't realize this at first and started from the middle bottom side of it and once I realized my mistake I was way ahead already so it ended being more work than necessary. If you do this, it will be much easier. It is easy to clean as it's made sort of a shiny rubber. And you will need to account for the last pieces on the bottom, which may be small, so you may need to use more tiles just for that small portion and I don't recommend to use one tile for multiple use as you would need to cut in between.

Cheap and easy home improvement
These tiles are great. Spending a ton of money on tiles and learning to grout was not going to happen, and then we found these guys. Very sticky, and fairly easy to put up once you get the hang of it. They have dimension so it looks like tile unless you get a few inches away, and you can do yourself- my 5’ by 18” backsplash took 15 sheets and about 5 hours of work. This diamond pattern was very difficult to get right on the edges, but an exacto knife helped. If I did it again I’d pick a rectangular or square tile pattern and I think I’d have had an easier time and cleaner look. Love the color, and easy to wipe spills off of.

Good but look out for color consistency.
Beautiful and I love the color, the only problem was color consistency. I ordered one box then ordered another because I needed more for my project, when the second box came in it did not match the first box in the exact color. I just ordered a 3rd and I’m hoping it matched one of the 2 other boxes. I really love the tiles and hope I can use them.

This tiles are nice and quality made
This tiles are nice and quality made. But they do not stick to semi gloss paint. Peel, peel, peel. Also, I only needed 2 tiles for a backsplash so I had to cut around the design to fit the second decal - not fun. If the paint were flat it would probably stick. As it was I paid someone to install real tile.

Looks good from afar
Pretty easy to use, I used these in a mini kitchen for my daughter but not sure if I would use them as a real back splash. The overlapping seam is noticeable up close. Looks pretty good from far away though.

Pretty pattern but does not stick!!
Love the look in the picture. Ordered several boxes. Pattern difficult to work with so uses more sheets than expected. But the biggest problem is they do not stick. I even got a response to my other review from a representative asking if I was an actual purchaser. After sending my order # etc, I have heard nothing, thus the return window has closed. I used spray adhesive hoping that would help, it sort of did, but then the tiles even stopped sticking to themselves and at the overlap edges. So at this point my backsplash is partially covered as now some are sticking and trying to remove them is peeling off my paint. What a mess!! With all the negative comments, I am surprised Amazon still carries these.

Looks great and doesn't damage your wall!
I just reinstalled these tiles. They stayed up great with the initial install, but I had to remove a real tile backsplash that sat between two sets of tictac tiles behind my stove. (This is shown in the picture with the green walls and oak cabinets that we had before we finished our kitchen makover.) Then, a year later, our microwave broke and the new microwave couldn't be installed without removing the real tile. Needless to say, the wall was a mess after the tiles came off. I bought new tic tac tiles to cover the empty space, but I wasn't sure if they would work over the messy part of the wall and I wasn't sure how well I could repair the wall. Then, when I went to put the new tiles up, I realized I would have to remove all the tiles to the left of the stove. Much to my surprise, the tic tac tiles did almost no damage when I peeled them off the wall. Maybe a few ball point pen tip sized pieces of paint came off--if that. If I had used a hair dryer to warm them up, they probably would not have done any damage at all! I was also actually able to reuse some of the tiles I peeled off too! The tiles aren't perfect over the messy part of the wall, but it's really hard to tell. (Look at the white cabinet pics!)
