Q: How many starting watts does the compressor require in addition to the 550 running watts?

If the gentleman is using it off grid via an inverter then the peak surge is EXTREMELY important. Inverter’s are not cheap and a surge of unknown quantity has the potential to be life threatening.

Q: The tool i work with requires a 1/4 inch bsp male on the end of the connecting hose. does anyone know the bsp on the hose?

On the one I received there was no hose, just a PCL XF socket on the output (self sealing type). So you would need a hose with a PCL XF male plug to connect to the compressor and then on to your air tool. You can just make out the PCL XF connector in the photos if you zoom in. Note it is the XF connector also known as Euro which is wider bore than the standard PCL connector.

Q: The instructions say when to doing a test run to pull the safety valve to release the pressure. But where is that?

It is a small brass valve on the botom side of the tank. Open it to release the air but don't forget to close it againg before using it next.

Q: So what items do I require for airbrushing ?

You will have to buy the accessory for this item it's around £25 00 quid and the extension hose and fitting ok hope this helps. I have got them all but have not used them yet good luck
