Cable also works with Brocade SAN switch console ports...
The cable I ordered came in the wrong packaging, but looked like the one that was pictured on Amazon. The package was labeled "Data Charging Audio Video Cable." I used the cable to establish a serial CLI session on a Brocade SAN switch, and it worked just fine. (A Brocade engineer had told me in the past that the Cisco compatible console cables would work just fine with their switches.) Can't speak to the longevity of the cable, but it does appear to be put together well. I am satisfied.

It''s a console cable.
If you have an older laptop with a DB9 Serial connector, it's a safe bet. I've used it a dozen times on Cisco and Juniper routers. The DB9 is nice and snug, and the RJ-45 is nice and snug. What more do you need? At this price point, it's great.

Bit pricey for an adapter (there's no electronics involved, you could build this yourself) but it's a nicely assembled cable, and was delivered quickly. Works flawlessly for connecting to my Ruckus/Brocade branded managed switch.

Poco hay que comentar de este producto, si lo estas buscando sabes para que sirve y si estas leyendo el comentario que sepas que funciona eprfectamente, tampoco tiene mucho misterio el tipo de cable, tambien puedes fabricarlo tu mismo buscando los esquemas en internet, pero realmente para el precio que tiene no merece ni la pena andar liado. En mi caso solo ha sido usado una vez pero es el tipico cable que viene bien en cualquier momento si te dedicas a estos temas. *VENTAJAS: - Funciona perfectamente - Cable de calidad y aplanado antienredos *DESVENTAJAS: - Nada conocido
