Easy to use
I've used several kits for home highlights and this is the easiest one to apply. Instead of using the applicator bottle, though, I just poured the mixture in a plastic container and brushed it on with my fingers (with gloves). I love the results and my hair doesn't feel damaged at all. I may try a purple shampoo but the results are not as brassy as I've had with other lightening/bleach products.

Quality product but needs skills
This is my first time using a Loreal hair color and I am impressed with the quality of the product, everything down to the innovative brush and the included gloves! But getting well blended highlights is not as easy as Loreal makes it look in the promotions. The instruction sheet included in the kit is not even equivalent to a beginners tutorial. It only outlines some basic rules. I had to watch a number of youtube videos to learn highlighting techniques. I did end up with beautifully blended multitonal highlights on about 80% of my recently colored mahagony brown hair but one section got blotchy and uneven. So after my ‘almost there’ results here is my tip: the brush is the key here. Practice as much as you can with the brush using any washable hair product, for example, a hair conditioner. Only when you have mastered the highlighting technique to want to use should you go ahead and use the highlighting kit. Else, the results can easily get blotchy.

Great and easy!!
This stuff is the bomb. I have never died my hair myself but have paid $150 twice by a stylist and was disappointed both times. This was extremely easy to do and turns out great and not brassy. This is my second time using it as I wanted to go even lighter. I am a sandy blonde now and will probably do it again in a couple months to go lighter and then keep it up a couple times a year so it doesn't fade

Don't buy this!!!
This product is far from being easy to use. The brush included in the kit doesn't work well, you have to be very careful because it leaves too much color cream or too little. It is very unequal!! Plus the color is horrible and doesn't resemble the one shown in the box, not even close! Too yellow!!! Not recommended. :(

technically it can but leaves your hair a orange brassy color like typically bleach
This says that it can lift brunette colored hair, technically it can but leaves your hair a orange brassy color like typically bleach. There is nothing special or magic about this item. I ended up having to tone afterwards like I would with any other bleach product.

... between salon visits and it was so fast and easy! Most importantly it produced salon quality highlights
I used this highlighting kit at home between salon visits and it was so fast and easy! Most importantly it produced salon quality highlights! I bought another box and will be doing my own highlights AGAIN! The brush it comes with is mistake proof, just make sure to tap excess hair bleach before swing down your hair. It really is mistake-proof and will look good even if this happens.

Great for an At-Home Highlight
This is the best home highlight kit I have ever used. It works quickly and effectively. It can be a little bit tricky to make sure you don't get too much of the solution on upper parts of the hair and not enough on the lower. It helps to use a light touch when applying at the tome of the head. Be prepared to use a toner afterward to get rid of the orange tones. (Kit does not include toner.)

Great Highlighting kit
This highlighting kit lightens hair really well. I have dark brown hair and it lightened my hair to blond color after just 25 minutes. The only reason I gave this kit four stars, is that the included applicator brush is not that easy to work with on long hair. But I do believe it's much easier to use on short to medium length hair. I pretty much just finger painted the highlights on my hair and they turned out great. I didn't have any problems with brassiness. I do use John Frieda Brunette Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner to keep the color nice.
