Sony Playstation 3 160GB System (Renewed)

Was a little hesitant about getting a renewed product like this but all of my worries were cleared away. Everything arrived boxed safely and was able to turn on and update very fast. Everything was included to get you started. I still did a full erase to factory settings and complete update before using. Unit is working great and super happy to bring some of my old games back to life for a new generation. Buy with confidence and thank you!

So this is the first PS3 station I got from this business and it was not refurbished. The stupid thing would never turn off. It would just overheat. Also, it was full of dust and debris. But I’ve been wanting a PS3 for a while so I decided I just try and see how it goes. Yeah piece of junk! So I called Amazon to get a replacement. The replacement came yesterday and it’s even filthier than the first one. I didn’t bother to ask Amazon if it was from the same business because if I had I would’ve told them not to bother sending a replacement. I can’t stand dishonest people. It’s so very frustrating. And to top it off the PS3 has a big chemical burn on the bottom of it where it’s partially melted. I wish Amazon would hold sellers to a higher standards. Because I’ve had my electronics refurbished before. When I have got them back, they were always pristine clean. When you refurbish an electronic item, you actually clean it because everyone knows dirt and debris damages electronics. So if a business sells an electronic item but don’t bother to clean it, obviously they’re not repairing it. They’re just reselling old PS3 units they find and then claiming the items have been refurbished. Dishonest ! I’ll be getting my money back. Horrible company do not buy from them.

I got this to be able to play GTA IV again, however the only knocks I have is that I’m unable to connect to WiFi and controllers have to be plugged in at all times in order to play.

HDMI cord provided was inoperable and the PS3 is failing to load games. PS3 controller is 3rd party, the center button is already getting stuck, and there were many scrapes on the body of the "Refurbished-excellent" console. Don't risk it.

The system ran fun for a short period of time then got to where it wouldn't turn on. I used a trick from YouTube videos with holding down power button for 30 seconds while turned off after unplugging the power cord and reconnecting it. It worked until I kept having to repeat it. I began to think it was the power core. Then I started unplugging bother power and HDMI cords after every use and it hasn't had a problem since. Still concerned it may have problems again and may have to buy a power supply or possibly a new fan for it. I took the system apart and was shocked at how incredibly filthy it was. I did my best to try and clean it. When renewing a system, I expect that it'dd get, at least, a proper cleaning on the insides.
