Great ink. Good Value
Got a 12 pack of these and a 12 of the Namiki black for my Pilot Metropolitan. Great ink. Nice color, good flow, dries fast, no complaints. Very satisfied. Tip: You can carry a cartridge inside of a hollowed out chapstick for portability. I take mine to school, so its nice to always have a spare in my bag without fear of it breaking. Once the chapstick is empty, all you have to do is cut the little rod that sticks up on the inside to create space for the cartridge. You can either pull the bottom out and cut it with a pair of scissors or try to cut it with something while its on the inside.

Pilot makes the best inks.
I’m a fan of pilot pens and while many might frown on the non-standard cartridge refill, Pilot inks don’t dry out as quickly if you don’t use your pen every day or write fast, and Pilot pens do not leak their ink as easily as others. I’m also pleased with the color, I’m a big fan of blue/black. I’ve ordered blue, and we’ll, it’s a blue, and it’s a lovely shade that dries quickly on paper and flows smoothly and evenly. These cartridges also stand he test of time where others evaporate over the years.(Pictured- Waterman Red, Diamine Maroon and Pilot Red all purchased about 6-8 years ago for reference)

Pilot Blue cartridges, 12pk
Originally I thought to buy this package simply to harvest the cartridges for my bottled ink. Being frugal, I couldn't just throw away the ink, so I started using it to empty the cartridges. Now I find that I actually like Pilot Blue. It is a slightly fast flowing ink, so works very well with my Pilot Fine nib and my Pilot italic nib (from a Pilot Plumix). With the latter nib, the choice of paper becomes more important since more ink is flowing at a fairly quick pace, but if you find the right paper it works just great. The blue is a kind of non-descript, but entire pages of note-taking in this ink make for an appealing piece of paper :)

Worth every penny
I bought this product when I purchased a Pilot fountain pen and have no complaints. Two boxes, black and blue, have lasted me almost a whole year with long and short stretches of use.It is fountain pen ink making it vulnerable to smearing if it gets wet, but it will color your fingers for a day or two.I plan on buying more in the near future as the design is sleek to carry while traveling, plus it won't leak all over, and at the same time its the easiest refill cartridge I've experienced. Others I've used before were often difficult to open when inserting into the pen and became blocked while using or after the pen hadn't been used for a day or two. After using these cartridges and the pilot pen I couldn't be happier.

Right fit for my Japanese fountain pen
A very generous friend gave me a Namiki Vanishing Point fountain pen with black ink, which I have thoroughly enjoyed writing with in my planners and notebooks. Still, when I used up the last cartridge, I decided to go with blue since I tend to prefer a variety of ink colors to the everyday black. I have not been very disappointed in this ink -- It's just as fluid and solid as the black, but I didn't realize how bright it would be -- more sky blue than dark blue.My only knock here is that the Namiki is the only Japanese fountain pen that I have -- Everything else is European or U.S., which means that when I'm using cartridges rather than a converter, this Pilot ink cartridges will fit only one pen in my collection: The Namiki. If I want to be able to swap around all my ink, I have to go to the converter and bottled ink, which don't always travel well.

Great cartridges for a great pen
These blue ink cartridges use a blue-black color ink that is strong. I've found that black cartridges in almost every brand dry out faster than blue, but some blue colors are very washed out looking. These have the boldness of black without the fast dry out. To my knowledge, this type is the only cartridge that fits the vanishing point Namiki fountain pen, which I use as my primary pen and am very fond of. I order several packs of these cartridges at a time and am very pleased with them.PILOT/NAMIKI BLACK CARBONESQUE CAPLESS VANISHING POINT FOUNTAIN PEN FINE
