Probably the best blank discs nowadays
Been using Verbatim Blu-ray discs for several years as the Sonys were getting hard to find and quite expensive. These seem to work fine if you have a good optical burner. I think the only defective ones are some I caused. Waiting to see about the longevity, the oldest recording I have is about 4 years ago.

Always top quality and NEVER disappoints
I only buy Verbatim-brand discs for their reliability and longevity when creating the master archival backup discs for my clients' digital work product. I have been around since 2006 and have been using Verbatim brand discs for as long as there has been a choice to be made. I have yet to go back to an archived Verbatim-brand discs and had any issue with loading, data integrity or data retrieval. I cannot recommend them strongly enough.

Only received 9 discs, discs are only 90% reliable
I bought a used version that was about 10% off, but only received 9 discs. That's a bad deal, as I paid the same per disc but for a used product. The fulfiller did not check this and therefore it's false advertisement. Definitely not worth returning over a single disc and I already burned the other 9 before finding this out so there's not really a way to remedy this.Of the discs that worked, 20% of the discs can only be written about 50% capacity, so there is only ~90% reliability here. I tried UDF and non-UDF on Win10 and it made no difference. The other discs worked normally. I read everything off after writing and used sha256, so I'm pretty confident they work overall. Failures are obvious at least. Edit: this was on Win10 and I have reason to believe the issue is with Windows BD burning software, not these discs. And of course the advertised 100 GB is not true, it's actually 90.2 GB per disc.Due to low price it's still not a bad deal and I'm happy overall, but a lot of frustration resulted in how unreliable these are and lack of disclaimer from the seller.

UPDATE: After switch burning software to Toast 20, no issues
UPDATE:Though failures were due to discs, but after switch burning software from Mac Disc Utility to Toast 20, no issues, no coasters.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Not sure if this was a bad batch, but 4 out of 10 discs failed verification. At 40%, that's a pretty steep failure rate. Now it could be my writer (Pioneer BDR-XD08B) or it could be my Mac computer using Disc Utility software, so I can't say for sure that the discs were the problem, but this was my experience.I will order another batch of these 10 discs and see if there's any difference. If i keep getting fails, I'll try another writer (if I can get one) and/or I'll try a different writing app (like Toast). And if I get better results using these discs with other systems, I'll be back to let you know.

Offline, secure storage at an incredible value
I facilitate corporate backups that absolutely do not intersect the internet, whatsoever. At a whopping 100GB capacity, these discs are the best value in town. Safer than SSD and more reliable than HDD, these can really outlast traditional magnetic tapes as well. Current tech does not allow for fast recording speeds but I accept this deficit in favor of the capacity and longevity, hands down!

25 GB Bluray Burnable Discs.
Good BD R discs. Burning must be done at 2X speed (4X is the fastest I've been able to successfully complete a burn). This version of the disc is # 98397. I use the Maxell CD 340 drive cleaner prior to burning. Too soon to comment on longevity as I've only been using these since Dec 2024

Not worth the time or money.
I bought four 10pk spindles of these Verbatim BD-R XL 100GB disks. Write time was dismally slow but not a particular issue in my case as I set them writing on one machine and go do something else while they're writing. But the failure rate is awful. 10 discs out of the four packs. 25%. An entire spindle was bad. At $59.99 that's an issue. I now have to get another 10 pack to finish the archiving project. It's NOT my burner or computer or burning app, for sure. I sent a product support request to Verbatim. If I don't hear bad in a reasonable time I will go get HP discs, as someone here recommended. Even if another brand was 25% more, that would break even, not counting the wasted time and effort.
