I use this for my washer and dishwasher. We have hard water so this definitely helps with smell and lengthens the time between me cleaning the filters

The smell in the dishwasher before doing them was atrocious. This product holds a lemony scent that helps cover the smell up. Bonus was to leave it in with your dishwashing preferences and it melts away.I know some reviews said it was hard to open or crumbled when trying to remove it. I found if you score the back and not try to push it out you get better results. It isn’t a hard pellet so that’s why it crushes. Be gentle!
