This is super easy to use and it works well. I love it!

What I expected

I bought this as a way to more easily rebuild leather covered buttons, that is, the Dritz button kits that you cover and put the backing onto it to secure the material covering.The stock plastic "tools" that come with the buttons leave a lot to be desired, so got this after seeing a video of some guy making a covered button and decided it'd be a good purchase to get.The device worked great, however, I was redoing 2 buttons, one was missing its shank, the other it was somewhat mangled, but both covered in the same brown leather, got the first one mostly done, but still needed a little work, the other gave me troubles due to the bit excess leather and in working on that with a larger hammer, got it, but the blue plastic part broke between 2 button sizes, the one I was using, and the adjacent one not being used. Still works, just the blue top piece is now in 2 peaces, but did the job just fine, just needed a bigger persuader to get it though.Overall, a good product, just likely the leather was making it a bit more difficult than it needed to be.

Much easier than old way of making covered buttons and I like that all sizes are on one platform!

Easy to use and match the button size. Soft form does great for buttons with making marks on the fabric of the buttons and easy on the fingers.

This gadget does not fit US size buttons. Since we use imperial measurements, a 5/8 inch standard button is 11.6 mm, while this tool is sized for 11 mm, 15 mm, and so forth. All the imperial measurement buttons will end up with a fractional equivalent that will not fit in this tool.

I’ve been using this to make earrings with cover buttons. It works pretty well. Overall I am happy with the purchase. The only downside is that it does not have some of the more common cover button sizes.
