Highly Recommend this book for PMP Exam takers and PMs!
This is a very well written book, easy to read and to the point. Not only is this a great prep book for PMP exam but also excellent guide for new or experienced Project Managers in their day to day life. My review is directed at two sets of user groups - practicing PMs and those that are preparing for PMP exam.(i) As a practicing Project Manager, I find myself opening this book for reference on many topics. I already have my PMP certification but was looking for a book with just enough details to keep my learning current and refreshed so I can apply at work. This book does not disappoint. It is just at the right level of detail and the information is easy to find and relevant.(ii) For those preparing to take the PMP certification: The authors have done a fabulous job of making complex concepts easy to understand and follow by keeping all key concepts simple and concise. Visual learners will find this book extremely useful as the authors have done a fabulous job of incorporating flow diagrams, charts and tables to help the readers. The practice quiz questions at the end of a chapter with answers and explanation are extremely helpful. The Rita book is good but long and wordy and the PMBOK is a little hard to follow in some areas.Overall, I highly recommend this book to not only those aspiring to take the PMP exam but also for Project Managers who are active practitioners of PMI principles in the Project Management world.

Good studying tool for the PMP certification exam
The layout is similar to the PMBOK, and it does a good job of explaining each area in new words. It reinforced my understanding and even led me to a few “aha” moments. The best part for me was that it’s packed with visuals - e.g., complex concepts are mapped out in diagrams/hierarchies so you can actually see how they flow and their connections. Highly recommend if you’re a visual learner like me.I recently took the PMP certification exam and passed my first attempt. Important: I read the PMBOK first, then read this and used it as a studying tool.

Excellent guide for PMP Certification
I just completed reading this book. What blew me away is the manner in which it simplifies the abstruse concepts of the PMBOK guide by presenting it in an organized manner using easy to understand language, while ensuring comprehensive coverage of each of the process groups and knowledge areas with loads of examples and illustrations. It focusses on areas relevant to PMP exam preparation and has ample practice questions and answers. Having read many other guides, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is attempting to get PMP certified as a one stop shop for the PMP exam.

Passed PMP on First Try
I used this book as a study guide, which I recommend. It has nice visuals for the ITTOs, which helps you remember them (don't memorize the ITTOs as you won't need to for the exam; at least the one I took didn't have specific ITTO questions). I also recommend taking practice exams - lots of practice exams (after reading this study guide). Then go back and read this study guide. The exams will help you with real-world questions (which was most of the PMP exam) and time management. This book has a multitude of editing errors, so keep that in mind while reviewing.

If you find PMBOK difficult and dry, this book is for you!
The best thing about the book is that it tries to explain the concepts with emphasis on visual aids - charts, reports and figures. Each chapter starts with a reference to the corresponding PMBOK page and has exam tips after each section. Techniques and terms have been neatly described in tables , which makes them easy to remember. Lots of PMP grade practice questions and good chapter end quizzes! Overall, it’s a guide with the right set of tools and tips for PMP prep!

Unique PMP book with a visual map of each chapter, I passed, I highly recommend
I highly recommend The Comprehensive Guide for PMP(R) Certification. It will get you to the finish line in passing the PMP exam. What helped and makes this book different than other PMP books is the visual map for each chapter with inputs, outputs and ITTOs. I passed the test after reading this book.

Good Resource
Good supplemental guide to study. It gives example problems and visuals to the tools you have to learn. There were a few spelling errors and a couple of visuals that were cut off. Overall, a good resource to pair with the PMBOK guide.
