not bad
This is a nice introduction to the various Greek stories. The section concerning the Trojan war and the Odyssey is quite extensive, and there are plenty of other stories in here as well, but I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a chapter discussing the house of Atreus. Overall this is a good book.Fix: Actually the section on the house of Atreus comes right after the section on the Odyssey, kind of strange. So yes, this book does cover the house of Atreus. My mistake.

I needed it for school. It is easy to read, bold print. It was in great shape and fast delivery!

Trouble Sleeping? Try This!
A. Moore (Wife of J. Moore) here: Jenny March is obviously a great classicist, but she has a leaden writing style that turns classical mythology into carefully distilled tedium. The circular structure of the work frustrates student readers, and much of the incidental information is endlessly repeated or might better have been relegated to foot- or endnotes. I understand the need to update the late, great E. Hamilton, but replacing her exciting and enchanting work with this textual sedative is cruel.
