The Microbrewery Handbook: Craft, Brew, and Build Your Own Microbrewery Success

Great Handbook for any business owner
Full disclosure: I live in Pensacola, Florida, so I am a regular customer at Perfect Plain, DC Reeves’ microbrewery and can attest to its greatness. Especially its cool and community-focused marketing and branding and its thoughtful approach – from a ladies' room designed for selfies to its being the only place in town that would ever open at the crack of down so England fans can watch the World Cup, Perfect Plain is one of a kind. And I haven’t even mentioned the beer. This is probably why the Microbrewery Handbook is a great handbook for any entrepreneur, not just those in the brewing industry.I am one of those that believes culture is everything in business and there is great advice here on everything needed to build a great team and great customer service, delivered in a fun and easy to read to guide.

Easy and informative read.
Just finished the book. Very comprehensive and straight to the point without a ton of fluff. Some of the stuff may seem obvious but there is lots of often overlooked information pertaining to things like permitting and branding and measuring data (sales and foot traffic etc)Best chapters are about employee retention and training.Easy and informative read for anyone planning on opening brewery but also pertinent information if you want to open a small business of any kind.

Inspiring to all entrepreneurs!
Wonderful read! If you or someone you know is considering starting a business or just have a passion for beer I highly recommend this book. DC lays out his journey very clearly from an idea, to early research, and then all the specific details of starting a business one may or may not expect. He also includes interviews from several well known business owners:) happy reading!

Best taproom business book yet, and I've read many!
This book is very detailed for the Tap Room business model. It is very current (2022) and has great ideas to develop and market a new brewery business, especially the Tap Room model.

The new required text for aspiring brewery owners.
DC Reeves has written a straightforward and easily-digestible book that is practically a step-by-step macro guide to opening a small brewery, complete with sage-like advice from respected and established members of the beer business world, lessons learned while taking the necessary steps to open his own brewery, and time-saving insight that will spare you time and expense. There are literal, practical and philosophical answers to be found in the Micro Brewery Handbook, and even aspiring business owners who are considering opening a venture that isn't in the beer business will benefit greatly from reading this book.

Totally relevant and beneficial!
I'm part of a group in the early process of opening a brewery in Kent Ohio, North Water Brewing Co. After reading this book, I have recommended that all of the members of our group read this book...ASAP; (key investors/owners, the brewers and future management ) There is a tremendous amount of valuable information and the fact that Perfect Plain opened in 2017 makes the info especially relevant!Unfortunately me new dog ate the first 5 chapters :-( so I'm ordering a new one today.
