Slipstreamer HD-0-T Motorcycle Windshield, Smoke

When I opened the package, I was disappointed. This windshield is small, 14.5 inches from the headlight cutout to the top of the windshield (the normal way to measure windshield height). Another 1.5 inches, and this would be a much better product. However, after mounting the windshield and test driving, it turnout better than I thought it would. I will probably still have to wear eye protection (I use a half shell helmet), but I will not have to wear earplugs. They have improved the mounting hardware a bit by including set screws to hold the riser bars as well as thumbscrews. The set screws make the installation look more professional. There are no plastic fasteners, as someone said. I have a genuine Harley windsheild on my classic bobber, and everything about it is heavier duty. The "chrome" structural pieces are actually very light gauge aluminum that is clear coated. I'm not sure how the plating on the fasteners will hold up, but time will tell. The black parts are anodized aluminum and steel, and as many have said, it is very thin. All in all, $50.00 would have been a more reasonable price for this, as it really looks "made in china". I think I will be replacing it because I doubt it will hold up to the elements. That said, it looks ok, but is very light duty. If I was to do it again, I would spend an addl $100.00 and get a heavier duty one.

This windshield is so much smaller than I expected. The slipstreamer example photo must be photoshopped. That said, it does seem like good quality and I was super happy with it on my first ride. I was able to run 70mph without my ear drums bursting or feeling like somebody was kicking me in the chest. It is a very clever design the way things mount together, but because of the many pivot points you want to have an extra hand setting it up. I was afraid the windshield would have been too big, and while I do like it, I wish it had been a little bigger. Do your homework and check the dimensions against the front of your bike to see what you should really expect.

I love this windshield.As far as being too small... you can install it two different ways, depending on how you situate the "L" brackets... it can be mounted over the headlight, which does look a bit small... or you can mount it over the speedometer, which looks great and brings the height up to my eyebrows.As far as "no instructions"They have a comprehensive installation guide for all of their windsheilds on slipstreamer's youtube page.I am a regular customer, and have no affiliation with the company whatsoever. I am leaving such a thoughtful review, because I was impressed by the product and the company.I emailed them with a question about my windshield last week, and within 24 hours the president of the company (the guy in the installation videos) emailed me personally, and maintained the dialogue until I was satisfied.Just thought you all should know.

You need to be sure of what size handlebars you have on your motorcycle. I ordered one that it came with the 1" clamps, and I needed the 1 1/4" clamp. I had to send the whole mess back, and order it again.

Exactly what i wanted, left warehouse fast and was delivered the day before predicted. Only small problem is that it gets angled back slightly from the wind pushing it. I have to reposition it about once every other week. Other than that this is a great windshield i recomend it to everyone

Good product. Works as expected. Picture of the Smoke shield is wrong, the actual product looks like the picture of the clear shield. I was disapointed because I liked that look better, but at least it works well and is very adjustable. Instructions are lacking but easy to figure out.

The only and biggest problem is that I didn't check the clamp sizes. The windshield comes with 1" clamps and I have 1 1/4" bars. Had to spend another 20+ dollars to get the right clamps. Heads up!!!

I think I'm getting more wind in my face with the windshield on.It's a disappointment.I noticed while traveling down the highway it creates a back suction and actually wants to pull my hemet off and my glasses too.Had a hard time making it home riding with right hand on the throttle and the left holding my helmet and glasses.I want to return it for a refund
