Love from the Crayons (The Crayons Celebrate) Review: A. heartwarming story for children of preschool or. grade school age. - this. is a cute and colorful story to read with children, grandchildren. or students. I gave it to. a friend of mine who. is. a pre-school teacher, she loves this book. Review: Not familiar with the other books but I loved this one - It's a small, simple book. I liked it but I've never read the other ones. This was perfect for a "Love" book. It's a fancy Valentine's Day card. I just bought it today--and it cost just more than a card--because my little granddaughter read it to me via video chat and I ordered it right then (came tonight). Her book was from the library but the two pages that some reviewers are having a hard time with are purple and brown. As you can see from the photos, those pages have been changed. I wish I had the other version. I get it; I understand "outside the lines" for purple. I have a friend who may be a distant cousin but she's like a sister to me. I also understand "sometimes love is stinky." Children get mad at parents and vice versa, right? This large card or little book--however one wants to view it--is just a reminder that love is not always perfect joy, joy, happy, happy. But it is still love. I love it! If the author or illustrator (or someone who doesn't want the version with the original purple or brown), has a copy, please send me that original version! I get it! Thank you!

A perfect story for any age
I bought this book last year for my 8 and11 year old granddaughters, and I just bought it for my newborn and 2 year old grandsons. I also just read it to their grandpa. All ages thoroughly enjoy it. Bottom line, it doesn't matter your age. The story of Love is expressed joyously throughout the book. I don't understand why some buyers write about the smaller size of this book. Whose bookshelf doesn't contain books of various sizes? It is adorable, and I would definitely recommend to lovers of words of any age.

Short, sweet, and all things love!
We have some of the other crayon books, which the kids love. I bought this on a whim for Valentine’s Day; I had no idea how much it would touch my heart. This book is so simply stated, and covers how love is present in all things, good and not so good. This is a great opportunity to talk to kids about finding love in all situations and reminding them in good days and bad, we can still love. I also sent this to the grandparents, and have gifted to a couple people. The grands love it, it has been so fitting during COVID-19 days when we can’t see each other. A sweet reminder that our love is there even when times are tough. I highly recommend this book as an any time, rough times, or Valentine book. Really, any occasion. And for both adults and kids. Simply beautiful.

A short story, not as creative as the original Day the Crayons Quit book
I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but the book did not live up to my expectations. My kids are big fans of the original The Day the Crayons Quit book. I thought this would be a nice addition to the collection. The artwork is great, the story is in the style of The Day the Crayons Quit, it's just very short, and the book is quite small as well. That's something I didn't pay attention to in the details. Overall, this is a nice book for Valentine's Day, especially if you're a fan of The Day the Crayons Quit. Just don't expect it to be like The Day the Crayons Quit. And one more time, just to keep things odd, The Day the Crayons Quit.

Cute little book, great for gifting
Having purchased 2 of these books, one here on Amazon and another at a store, I have encountered the 2 versions of the book. Amazon sent me the one with the brown crayon page as “sweet as chocolate” however I prefer the one with the wording “love sometimes stinks”. I would say that neither diminishes the purpose of the book, to describes what love is like but I personally like the love stinks version; it’s funny and the picture is more consistent with the other pictures which are crayon drawings. The “love is sweet” picture stands out because it’s not a “crayon” drawing, if that makes sense. We gifted a book to preschool teacher for teacher appreciation week and kept one for home.

The little notes about love were easy enough for a toddler to understand, it’s such a lovely story, I prefer it over the days the crayons quit I guess it’s slightly more meaningful. We had it from the library before purchasing to have in our home.

Love this book. Disappointed with the size, I maybe should have read the size posted. Great addition to the other two.
