NEW, "ULTRA SLIM" 360 Rotating Model is a Bit More Stable in BOTH GROOVES
Fintie has produced a newer model of its 360 Degree Rotating iPad Air Case, but you cannot easily tell by viewing its ad at Amazon. The original ad has NOT been changed, and continues to record User Reviews for both versions, in one list (= 288 total, as of today). The Amazon ad also still emphasizes the original model with two rows of color options (22 total colors). However, now a third row of (6) colors also appears, and which APPLY ONLY to a new "Ultra Slim" model. Read on to learn about this new model. However, Fintie is making a mistake by not emphasizing that a new "ULTRA SLIM" model actually exists. You can search Amazon for this product by typing "fintie rotating ultra slim," OR when viewing the original ad for "Fintie 360 Rotating Stand"...then CLICK on one color in the BOTTOM ROW of colors (third row, showing just 6 colors), and watch the product title change to "Ultra Slim " and refresh the sample model with your new color. Look close at the seven product pix at the left change, and you will see ONE NEW PHOTO in the middle of the seven. That middle photo, when clicked, will enlarge to show the "Anti-Skid" gray stand, with rubberized coating. You might want to click back and forth between any of the top two row colors (= the original model) and the BOTTOM ROW, to watch the Product Description title and the "Anti-Skid" photo change. I believe that is the only way to see the differences between the two models (and the price!). I believe that THIS review may be the first at Amazon to report on the new Ultra Slim model.[NOTE: The reviews for this Fintie do NOT distinguish between the two models, because Fintie has chosen to have them displayed within the same product description, and thus not allow Amazon users to report their experiences/ratings separately. It seems to be a clear case of poor product differentiation, and allows buyers to inadvertently select one model rather than another, simply because they may not notice the differences when clicking on the various color options. Really, the most likely chance will be IF buyers happen to notice the price difference when finalizing their orders (and realizing that the original ships direct from Amazon Prime...and that the new model is a bit cheaper, but also has a shipping cost of $4.99 since it comes directly from Fintie.]One immediately obvious difference between the two models is that the new Ultra Slim is currently 9.99, whereas the original version colors ranges between about $16-18. However, the MAJOR DIFFERENCE is that the gray material used on the gray base stand is velour-like on the original, and rubberized-like on the new, so called "Anti-Skid" version. The rubber-like material is noticeably more effective at avoiding slips, but is still far from perfect: I believe the grooves are still not deep enough, to prevent more slips.Another slight difference exists with the "Sleep" function. My original model emitted a very slight "click" when I closed the case, but the new model does not. However, it does still automatically shut off. I also mention that the new model did NOT have any odor when I first opened it; on the other hand, I don't recall noticing any odor with the original (unlike many, very upset Amazon reviewers).I have used the new, Anti-Skid model for five days, and find it noticeably better at keeping my iPad Air from slipping. This model still has two wide grooves, which are more gradually sloped than the original, but the Anti-Skid works BETTER...if you are careful not to jar or bump the iPad. I have used the iPad in both horizontal and vertical modes, in both grooves, and find the Anti-Skid a bit better at avoiding slips than the original version. Doing so, I also found it important that the support brace (on the back of the upright plastic stand) be perfectly even, to keep the iPad base balanced evenly along the width of either groove being used. One important caveat here, regarding MY use: I use a wide, 6" high pillow on my lap, and keep the iPad balanced and centered upon it. I do this because it brings the iPad closer to my eyes, thus making the screen sharpest for me. I find that this combination of pillow and Fintie in either position/groove keeps the iPad steady during extended use. A big qualifier, however, is that most inadvertent bumps or taps on the screen or Home Button are still likely to cause the iPad to slip; I find that the iPad remains in position about 90% of my use. Yes, it sounds pretty silly to be so precise with my pillow, position, and gentle screen touches, but it works for me. I accept the Anti Skid model as a significant improvement over the original version, which seemed to fall a lot more when I used the groove closest to my hands. The Biggest Difference is that Now the iPad Stays in Both Grooves! I used the same pillow with the original Fintie, but only the groove farthest from my hands was acceptable against slipping.I believe that most users of the original model were like me, in finding the rear groove the most reliable, and they may be just as well off to keep the old model. [I happen to enjoy using both grooves now.] Even more, if you like using the black elastic strap (either to help brace the iPad in steady position, or to help keep the iPad closed when off), you may have another reason to keep the original Fintie. One last advantage, for those that use it, is that the original contains the tiny black elastic stylus holder. The Amazon ad displays only 6 colors (in the bottom of three rows), but there is a 7th, which is Turquoise, and in a slightly less intense version than that shown for Turquoise in the original colors. That 7th color is shown only after you hover over OR click a bottom row color, and thus change the sample display (and thus show all 7 colors just to right of the sample). Some Final Words: I have rated this new model as 4 Stars, and I would have rated the original also as 4 Stars: Staying in that one groove was worth a lot to me!. However, I definitely believe that the new Ultra Slim is a bit more stable, to the extent that it is meaningful for me, in both positions and both grooves (and given my peculiar use of a puffy lap pillow). It seems that the pillow makes the iPad in the Fintie less susceptible to slight body movements, while I am seated. If Fintie were to make the grooves deeper, and the stand totally reliable, I would raise my rating to Perfect.I greatly endorse the Fintie policy of obviously reading all these Amazon comments, and responding to every 1 and 2 Star review, where it generally offers each dissatisfied customers the option of returning or exchanging their case, or choosing an alternate Fintie model (SmartShell, Folio, or 360 Degree Rotating). I originally chose the Fintie brand specifically because I noticed that many other vendors NEVER responded with comments to any of the poor reviews for their products (this is also true over the entire range of ALL Amazon products). Fintie obviously stands behinds its products and is quick to reply with advice or a refund/exchange offer for negative reviews. It was specifically my disappointment with the falling iPad that led me to contact Fintie...and receive the Ultra Slim, Anti-Skid model. I am a happy camper.Sorry that this turned out to be sooo long, but I felt that this was the best way to identify the new model, and explain the differences between the two versions, as well as help others to judge for themselves if the Ultra Slim would be worth it to them.

Fits my 5th gen 16.4.1 IPad perfectly! (model A1823)
Color is very beautiful and fits better than my previous case that I bought about 6 years ago. That old case is basically the exact same (the white and black marble in the last photo) but from a different listing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this one lasted just as long. The reason I gave this four stars, and not five is because the color isn’t as vibrant as in the listing. Especially the rose gold color in the marble.

Beautiful vivid colors
Very nice quality for the price. I’ve gotten others that were very thin. The colors on this are even better than pictured.

Good case
Works well and the feature to rotate the iPad in landscape and portrait mode while using it on its stand is neat. So far so good.

Perfect
Color slayed. Material slayed. Quality slayed. Overall slayed and I’m perfectly happy with it. I’ve been using it for a few months now and no problems. I had another similar ipad case from this company and it lasted me over six years, and could have gone longer.

Sturdy and using camera is no problem. Deep notches are great and holds the iPad secure.
Would have liked 3 notches instead of 2 for holding the iPad up. Love the deep notches

Do not buy!
Do not buy this case! The case is very flimsy you will not be able to watch your shows without your tablet falling over constantly! Had to buy a tablet stand to watch in peace.
