Better than chrome HS prong collar
We first bought our dog the chrome Herm Sprenger 3mm prong collar. However, after 5 weeks, the metal started splintering on the d ring to a very sharp point and I almost cut my finger. We were just passed our 30 day return policy so I contacted HS directly. They permitted the return through Amazon and Amazon approved with the exception of a restocking fee.We decided to buy the black stainless steel HS which we originally wanted anyhow. For our gray dog, it doesn't stand out as much, looks a lot cleaner, and coordinates with our stacked collars (prong, ecollar when in use, & herm sprenger clicklock DogLine biothane collar). She wore this black HS prong for 3 weeks at Board and train in addition to 1.5 weeks at home. So far, no issues at all.We have no issue with dexterity so placing on and removing is easy for us.We removed one prong link for a better fit.Highly recommend!

Genuine Hermspringer product. Happy customer
These collars are a lifesaver. My rotty pup just turned 10 months about 75lbs now (a little bit small for his age but he’s very fit) and I upped the size from the small to the medium. (Shown in photos for reference for anyone on the fence about the size). The small worked great from 8-10 months but I had to order extra prongs for it to fit him. Recently he’s gotten too big where the small looked uncomfortable on him. The medium size- I had to take two prongs off for the correct fit (up high and tight around the back of the neck/ears but not digging into his neck). I got the easy on/off buckle option for the small collar and will probably order one for this size too, I was hoping it would fit on the medium but it doesn’t.I’ve always had a guilty conscience about using prong collars but when it comes down to it, it’s for his safety, my safety and honestly it’s amazing to be able to enjoy our daily walks again. I have tried EVERY leash and collar combination he just does not stop pulling. He pulled me out into the road to go after a leaf so I knew we needed something else to help bridge that gap of miscommunication between us. The collar does not hurt him. The slip lead I tried before this was causing way more damage than this collar ever could. I have only had to do a correction twice, and he always gets excited when he sees me grab it because he knows we are going for an adventure.I think these are the best tools for walking, but please make sure to do research on how to properly use and fit them for your dog.

The best prong collar out there
Got this prong collar for my GSD/husky mix who pulls like a freight train after watching countless hours of Youtube videos about them. Initially I was very wary of using something like this on my baby as we have all heard horror stories about these types of collars. I went to a big box pet store that sells generic brand prong collars and felt them- the tips on those were horrendous. But these Herm Sprenger collars are SO much better in comparison. The prongs are not sharp at all and I tested the collar on myself around my arm and even pulling with all my strength was just uncomfortable at most but they did not cut me or damage me in any way.If you are thinking about getting a prong collar for your dog, this is the only kind I would recommend, and PLEASE do a lot of research about how to properly use them before you try it. I introduced it slowly to my dog; we practiced inside the house with it first for a few days, then the backyard for a few more days, and then finally we started using it on our neighborhood walks. It's like I have a different dog.I rate the collar itself as 5 stars as it is truly the best of its kind but when rating the features I gave it 3 stars for being "easy to remove". If you just use this with no buckle it is difficult to undo the prongs. My hands are a bit arthritic so it was really difficult for me. I bought a "Katie's Buckle" (google it to find her website, I don't think they are sold on Amazon) and attached it and it made it sooooooo much easier to take on and off. I had also bought the Herm Sprenger buckle which was an improvement but the Katie's buckle is best in my opinion.

Very Nice!
These are working out beautifully, we have noticed reduced pulling already. It's definitely easier to communicate with them when I am no longer being treated like a kite lol

Game changer for walking my hyper JRT
This collar and brand was recommended my my dog trainer and I didn’t want to send $45 for a prong collar so I tried a few other and they were too bulky and hard to clip and unclip but this one worked perfectly for my and my pups. From the moment I put the collar on my Jack Russel terrier he’s a different dog no more pulling and correction is a lot easier without having to put any pressure on my pups. Like the collar black for it matches my pups coats. It seams confortable to him and once you get the hang of clipping and un clipping it’s easy breezy. Worth every penny. I must have to stop your dog from leash pulling
