My MacBook Pro 2015’s trackpad and keyboard stopped working a couple of years ago and I was having to use an external keyboard and mouse. A friend of mine had the same issue and used this wire to fix the issue. They were then able to fix mine too. We have both used this and now our MacBooks are back to working completely as normal.

Not great as the cable.is 1 cm too long, also it stopped working after 4 weeks

Bought this to replace a ribbon with bad contacts after a drinks spillage. It has fixed the problem, but I was surprised that it is not folded/sized the same way as the ribbon it replaces. That means that the cable does not line up with both ends and lie flat—the middle section is too long. I’ve attached a photo to illustrate. I was able to push it down and still get the battery cradle back on, so it works, but this is not optimal.

tried to reset all the memory stuff; tried software solutions; upgraded os. didn't believe it was a hardware issue because there'd been no significant changes between when it worked and didn't. Think the covering on the old cable gradually wore after pressure against the case. This worked first time following you tube videos. but was a bit too long and I feel it would have folded when the case was re-applied. so I think it might be a candidate for failing sooner given the extra kinks. but It at least works.
