Great food.
This makes my dog's coat so soft and shiny. It is a bit pricey. My dog loves it.

Shiny coats, less poop, happy owner + happy pups
My pups really like this AvoDerm Duck food. (Had a horrible experience with Taste of The Wild that made them very sick.) When I switched to this food, my dogs immediately felt better and now that it has been two months, their coats are more shiny and healthy looking. It sounds weird, but they actually eat less of this product because the ingredients are quality. So The 22 lb bag of this lasts as long as a 40 lb bag of cheap food with lots of fillers. This means they poop less and there is less mess to clean up. Their energy is great and they free-feed because of my work schedule (so they eat whenever they are hungry). Very happy with this food and love that it gets delivered right to my door. UPDATE: Ordered the Trout & Pea Seafood variety for my third bag. I had to remove a star because my pups don't seem to like that flavor as well. If I put a bowl of the duck out and a bowl of the trout and pea, my dogs will gobble up the duck and let the trout and pea sit for a day before they eat it. They seem to prefer the duck and the AvoDerm triple protein varieties. I'll stick with those two flavors. Overall, great food made in California. <3

AVO DERM DUCK RECEIPE IS MAGIC !!!!!
My Great Pyrenees mix, Buddy, has been licking and scratching for a long time . . . skin infections, ear infections, eye infections, infected sores on his pads. He was depressed. We have seen every veterinarian in a 50-mile radius. We have tried all allergy medications, some as expensive as $200 a packet. We have tried every topical goo on the market and also wrappings and special gloves. We tried special diets, including duck diets. My poor baby. He just scratched and licked himself raw. AND THEN I DISCOVERED AVO DERM DUCK RECEIPE!!! IT'S AMAZING!!! IT'S A MIRACLE. I thought it was a coincidence so I went back to feeding him a different duck diet. The licking and scratching started again. I put him back on AVO DERM DUCK RECEIPE and the licking and scratching stopped within a week. My baby and I are very happy.

It suited it’s purpose for only so long.
This brand has served its purpose I suppose, from puppy to senior. We were loyal to the brand - year after year for several reasons 1) I was almost fearful to change anything he was use to prior to rehoming him as I was a brand new dog mum. 2) Amazon purchase/delivery made life simple since it was not carried by any corporate operated pet stores in my area. 1 local mom and pop business stocks it and has been a great back up plan for emergency situations. 3) Cost was reasonable for the product quality. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for. 4) My vet never shamed me when every visit it was stated that was his day one source of nutrition. She never nay-sayed or knocked the brand and most vets are one to do so if the brand is junk. I didn’t dare stray from the Avoderm brand. I love that rotational feeding is a thing with the flavor/recipes, something I’ve never heard of but it totally makes sense. You don’t really see that promoted much as it once was 7-10 years ago … but who wants to eat the same thing every single day. I didn’t switch flavors up often but Dog has tried them all at least once in his 11 years. He has major skin and ear issues but that has been our normal since I got him, never once was it suggested to change his food. I’m told his breed is prone to those reoccurring symptoms that seem to annoy me more than him. About a year ago I began experiencing delayed delivery notifications, over time it became more frequent with no real explanation given. Utilized the local vendor in those pinch needs no problem. It was them that kindly told me the company was experiencing manufacturing issues as something with the packaging of the bigger bags became a compliance issue that needed addressing putting a halt on certain flavors and sizes. I work pharmaceutical so I’m aware of back-orders, manufacturing delays … etc … but it has dragged on too long and there’s been too many times where I’ve gone into a panic attacks regarding simply feeding my dog. I decided on a whim to transition into another brand. I just happened to be scrolling through my subscriptions and the price of anything at all caught my eye. $93 … W H A T? Are you kidding me. That is absolutely ridiculous. $64 was doable, slightly on the cusp of questionable. $93. I wouldn’t pay that price … ever. Disappointed all the way around. Lost revenue recovery shouldn’t be any fault of mine or my dog, so we shouldn’t be expected to suffer the consequences for their business faux pas.

10/10!
I love this! My dog was so red and itchy his armpits was completely raw all the time. He was on antibiotics so many times, never helped. I went to the vet multiple times, nothing worked. But this food fixed him!!!!

Best dog food!
We first discovered this dog food at Petco, an associate recommended it to us when we told them about our dogs itching and massive shedding. Since we switched to this food, they shed less, they don't itch anymore and they love it! The price is well worth the results. We used to feed our dogs the generic Costco grand dog food and while that may be okay for some dogs, it just wasn't working out for our dogs. We realized very quickly that feeding our dogs healthy, gluten free food is extremely important. Petco has stopped carrying AvoDerm. So we did some research and found it here on Amazon. So glad, too. I really did NOT want to switch foods! I didn't realize before, but this is part of the revolving menu and we plan on getting the other flavors to change things up for our dogs. Love AvoDerm and love this dog food!

Pricing Me Out
I have a dog that's allergic to so many things. This food has helped her stop itching. Her skin no longer turns pink and she's stopped shedding. Her coat is shiny now. I have three dogs, they all eat the same food since I can't afford different foods for three dogs. I last ordered Avoderm duck earlier this month and it coast $43.49 and now just two-weeks later it's gone up to $57.....a $14 price hike! I'm so disappointed. After months and months of trying to find something to help my dog, now the manufacturer is pricing me out. Shame on you. Fixed income folks don't stand a chance.
