One hell of a beast
Doing this review on my ROG phone II, and I got to say, hands down this has to be the best flagship in all of 2019 and a real competitor for 2020. What got me first was the beastly, overwhelmingly big 6,000 mAh lithium polymer battery. Most flagships go around 4.5k or 4k, well this thing just doesn't care and hop to 6k, that can be a 1.5x improvement! What else they have on this phone is battery care, when the phone reaches 80% it stops hyper charging and charges slowly instead. I think that is a good idea when maintaining the battery beast Next is the brains and brawn of the beast, we are talking about the processing power. a Snapdragon 855 plus overclock 2.96 gigahertz is basically the speed of a typical PC. This smartphone is actually challenging a couple of PCS by processing power... That is powerful. The cell phone also does 30 watt charging and it's insanely fast, keep your adapter at least because this thing can come from 0 to 60 faster before you know it (please don't fully discharge and recharge your phone like that) The speakers are crisp and loud, that's a plus. However I do think they could use a little bit more bass, but I think that's just me who's always listening to bass, but I hopped into the settings and fixed it up a little bit. I'm not sure about the water resistance by don't want to test it either, she likes to vent and have many ports. this phone may not have any optical or image stabilization or be wireless in terms of charging (I don't care about wireless charging people or just really into that for some reason) but she does have a headphone jack, yes, Asus says you're welcome. The vibration is it real and I love it, not much else to say about that one. It's fast with its internal storage, but however when I use the hidden cabinet and try to open a PSD it just crashes. Maybe that's me and I'll have to see into it The 48 megapixel main camera can do 4K at 60fps. on a gaming phone I have never expected such thing with me having this thing set on 120 hertz there's one more thing that you should also consider. If you are a gamer and willing to have this as your daily driver, don't you dare miss the kunai gamepad Tldr; this thing is insane and I'm going to go enjoy life with it, peace

ASUS ROG PHONE-2 IS GREAT!
Everything about the ASUS ROG Phone-2 is AMAZING!!! I wanted a device that was reliable, that has all of the main essentials for my everyday purposes like sms text, email, earplug for your headphones or earbuds, quick downloading with good volume etc... Now I didn't get this device because of its original aim that it really was created for the Gamers. So, for all you Game aficionados out there who love playing on your phone/devices- trust, THIS IS THE PHONE TO GET!!! ASUS ROG PHONE-2 is the best bar none! There are so many things on the phone that one can do it's crazy! You'll have to read all of the specs, bells and whistles to fine tune what you want in a device. The action, the sound, the overall feel is awesome! What made me get the ASUS ROG 2 is the fact that it has 512 GB so you most likely won't ever run out of space/memory, plus a great Battery life which is EVERYTHING!!!! I've had the phone for a while now and I've gone as long as 2 days almost before needing to charge it. The extras of this phone is the Air-Trigger- mode that is used for cooling down the device if it gets too hot. And a special mode design you can set up that comes with this little applicator that snaps to the back of your phone when you're playing the games. So, treat yourself and get the ASUS ROG PHONE-2!!!!

If u ain't gaming, it's okay, still a great phone
Having been a long time Samsung owner, I was worried about switching, not only to a non branded phone, but a different UI. With Samsung I could almost so everything I with my eyes closed. You get use to swiping gestures, where certain settings are, and what your phone is capable of. Now as the owner of arguably the greatest game phone on the market, I get to start fresh, burning a good way. It's fun to learn that everything I did on the Note 8, I can do on this phone, it is just that it's options are in different places. Picture quality is awesome, refresh rate is amazing, the dial front speakers exciting, but the gaming is still undecided. As many a writers have pointed out, there are not a lot of games that take advantage of the frame refresh rate so I have yet to experience the jaw dropping effect of this going feature. But when it happens, I know I am ready for it. As for the VolLTE, I am sure that will be corrected when the time comes. But right now, those worried about band 71, just check which band you use where you live and see if it even affects you. Right now, as a att customer, through tracphone (I am testing to see if they are better than t mobile in my area) and the straight talk prepaid plan, I have only utilized band 2. TMobile has only utilized band 2 and 4. So I am good considering both have given exceptional data speeds and good call quality. ( I use the att Sim card on the Rog phone and TMobile on my Samsung). Not to mention that I have dropped it twice, albeit from 2 to 3 feet, and no damage.

Returned due to a lack of VoLTE support.
Amazing device. The screen is incredible (120 hz is amazing!), the speakers are incredible, the vibration motor is very very good, the design is cool too in my opinion. The speed of the device is unmatched by most phones other than maybe OnePlus devices. The gaming features made it a great device to play games on. The camera was okay, I was able to generate some pretty good shots. In the end, I returned the device because Asus has not enabled VoLTE on this device. As of February, 2020, AT&T will no longer allow non VoLTE capable devices to be registered on its network, as their 2G/3G bands are being deactivated. This means that the phone will not be able to make phone calls when that portion of their network is shut down.
