I have to say, this is a absolute great book. As a person interested in scriptures across the world. This book is like the condensed pocket version of the many volumes of hindu texts, capturing, the essence of the Hindu faith. Not only the hindu faith, but spiritual tradition in general.I very much like the design, impeccable neat finish, with beautiful images laced with a great format of text inside. Perfect size and thickness. (Same as my Bible!)As for the inner message, everyone will gain a spiritual gem here and there, and it's translated in modern poetic English form. Which is a beauty to read.Easily accessible for the western english reader and a great starting point for a basic idea of the vast hindu text out there.Much in the book is volume extracts from the various Holy Hindu Vedas, in Indian culture. from the large and various selection of hindu texts, put in clear topic order.Was not disappointed. Great purchase.

very good book on knowledge and truth and a lot more too, and have gone through some pages, very interesting book meaningful and thought provoking, excellent condition and am looking forward to finishing this

I received this book within good time and it is a good book for those who are keen with religion. Very clearly written and translated in English with some Unique images. Worth a buy for those who want to know in depth knowledge of Hinduism

Very good ancient book of Holy Verses, the binding could be better for the price and the pages are bound with pieces of string, the pages could become loose, a better binding would be better, but the content is excellent

I feel that this needs to be advertised more clearly. It is NOT 'the Veda's, it is passage excerpts [hymns] FROM the Veda's on various subjects such as creation, Devotion, Revelation, Action etc. etc. So it cuts 'between' Veda's. It also means that all of the 'elements' taken from the Rig Veda are in a different order to the Rig Veda itself and so the lessons from the Vade's become disjointed. I bought it expecting a somewhat 'precised' version/overview of the various Veda's but that is simply not what this is and it should be stated far clearer.I think this is better for those who are actual scholars of the Veda's who are already familiar with the material than those wishing to become such.It IS however absolutely beautifully illustrated.
