Brake Riveting Rivet Tool

The tool did a very good job riveting brake linings onto the bands for a 175 Allis Chalmers. The thin disc it had enough capacity to get the outer rivets done. The inner rivets on the thin disc and all the rivets of the thick disc had to be done with the bottom anvil and a spacer to support the far end in a vice free handing the punch. It did produce nicely formed rivets both with the whole tool and free handing the punch.That being said, this is not the tool for you if you are doing professional repairs. But, for the price this is the tool if your doing your own work and only going to use it a couple times a year. Highly doubt the punch would stand up if used daily. I did think if I had an arbor press to mount it in would have worked even better and the punch would probably last even longer.That being said even with using a hammer on it it will probably still last me a lifetime seeing as I reached 58 years old before I needed to buy this one!

If negative stars was an option! Got it out of box got 8 holes drilled and bit is totally wore out and junk already still have 60 holes to drill. I didn't expect a lot for the price but I thought I would've been able to get the one brake job done i bought it for. Wast of money also the clamp part is made out of cheap pot metal it broke instantly. Very disappointed do not buy!!
