Great Lids
These lids are so great. I only have a few canning jars since I use them for salad dressings and such. They aren’t even Ball jars and the lids fit.

Nice No-Rust Replacement
I drink cold coffee every day that's hot-brewed the day before then refrigerated overnight. This coffee gets poured right after it's brewed into a large Ball Mason jar, then I put a lid on and shake a little to mix the sugar and creamer. This was done with the metal lids for years but they kept rusting which affected the way they sealed. It was hard to get the metal lids closed in a way that would prevent leaks. The metal lids were cleaned in the dishwasher and I would remove and hand dry them after each cycle. I saw these plastic ones and thought I'd give them a try.Upon my first attempt to seal the jar of hot coffee, there seemed to be some slight leakage. I didn't want to go back to the old metal ones so I kept using them but tightened them a little more. After a couple of times of use and cleaning, I noticed that they weren't leaking anymore. I don't know if the heat from the coffee or me tightening them more to prevent any possible leaks did it but there's no more leaks. I really like them now and find them easier use than 2-piece metal ones. My advice when you get them would be to wash them and put them on a jar really tight before you use them the first time if you'll be storing/shaking liquid in your mason jars.I like them. They've made things easier for me. They don't rust and they don't leak anymore.

No Leaks
These are perfect for my ferments once I put them in the refrigerator. They do not leak even when a container falls over.

No leakage, well made
Covers work well & there is no leakage...Much better than rusted canning covers..Price is higher than some stores ..I saw same covers @ supermarkets & Walmart cheaper by $2.00..

Perfect replacement for rusty metal covers
I use both regular and wide-mouth mason jars for food and beverage storage, mostly in the fridge. It doesn't take long for the metal lids to begin to rust, and while it is possible to soak and scrub them with vinegar, it's just a hassle. I tried a different brand of plastic cover, but the lids wouldn't screw on easily, and were then hard to remove. These work like a dream! Easy on, easy off, no leaking, feel strong and sturdy. Of course, it helps that they are made by the same company that produces the jars, so I guess there's no surprise there. Perfect for dry and short-term cold storage--exactly what I was looking for. (I also have these in wide-mouth. Love them, too.) Added bonus: they are a perfect neutral color!
