Super
This is a great mattress cover. My mom has been bedridden for five years and recently developed a bedsore. I panicked. A neighbor told me to order this because she used it for her bedridden dad. My mom is more comfortable and her legs no longer ache when I move them! It helped the bedsore heal fast! Took seconds to assemble. It’s so quiet I forget it’s there. Very satisfied customer

I would highly recommend
I’ve been using the Vive Alternating Air Pressure Mattress Pad and I must say it has truly improved my comfort during extended periods in bed due to my diagnosis of PLS. The gentle alternating air pressure provides much-needed relief and support, helping prevent bedsores, and making long hours in bed significantly more bearable. One recommendation I have for anyone setting up this mattress pad is to place the air input intake at your feet instead of near your head. Initially, I had it positioned at the head, but the buzzing sound from the air hoses switching disrupted my sleep throughout the night. Moving it to the feet solved this issue and made the setup much quieter and more restful.Overall, I would highly recommend this mattress pad as a reliable and effective solution for anyone looking to prevent bedsores and enhance comfort while spending extended time in bed. It’s a thoughtful addition that has made a noticeable difference in my daily comfort.

Does what it should. Excellent value.
Very quiet motor, disperses body weight gently as it claims. We bought the one for the recliner as well. Such a help.

Had to assemble
This is a well made hospital type bed we use for an elderly relative who is immobile. The mattress is foam so you might need to support with a pillow as it will not keep it's form. I assume the foam is so the unit can raise and lower. The mattress is covered by a plastic cover so it will never get stained. It came on a pallet and had to be carried inside and assembled. Some parts are quite heavy and having just came out of the hospital myself, this was a burden I did not need. I called the company and was told I could hire someone to assemble. I do not recall if I had to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee as I was quite upset as I thought it came assembled. In the end it took me about and hour and a half to assemble once I got started. The directions are very easy to follow. It is very durable and so far it has performed well. The rails drop easily so you can change or wash the user if they cannot do themselves. I had to contact customer service for a wheel on the bottom, they were kind and they sent me another one immediately. We really have no complaints and it works well and has been safe for everyone to use thus far.

Love this product - quiet and works as advertised
Love this product. The Alternating Air Pressure Mattress Pad works great. The motor is quiet and the unit was easy to put together. It just lays on top of your existing mattress and then you can put the sheets over it.Since we purchased it in February my husband has not had any skin issues on his backside or legs. Perfect for patients who are in bed more than up/out of bed.I would definitely recommend this product.

Not Just for Those Confined to Bed for Long Periods
I considered buying a new mattress. Bought a topper instead – it made the bed too soft, the pain worse. A warm waterbed would be my first choice, next a sleep number bed. As I was looking at options, I discovered the Vive Alternating Pressure Pad. I remember those from working in nursing homes and the sound of the pump would keep most from sleeping. I was surprised that the box was so small and most of it was taken up by the pump. Another surprise when I unfolded the mattress pad and thought I got the wrong size – it was a foot too long for my bed. (That was before it was inflated.)While the pump is quiet, it hums. If you notice night noises, you will notice this. Originally, I placed the mattress so the pump would be at the foot of the bed. However, the air inlets were on the wrong side, the hose not long enough so I turned it around locating the pump above my head. All night I could feel the vibrations through my pillow. It would be nice if the hoses were longer, if there was a choice between right or left air inlets, if there was a strap midway to keep the mattress from easing sideways. It takes effort to attach the hoses to the mattress.Lying on the mattress, I could feel the air pockets filling, releasing. I could feel the pockets through the sheet pressing against me, like a massage. I DID NOT feel pain sleeping on my back or side. WOW! My knees did not hurt. My legs did not get numb. I woke, stood up feeling different – not like a broken pretzel. This alternating pressure mattress is not just for those who must be in bed for long periods of time. I’m almost 75, it helps with arthritis pain, with the lingering pain of old injuries. I would buy this again!

Almost perfect product
I had delayed getting this after reports that the ones from our local medical equipment supplier were very noisy. Then, when I saw this item described as 'whisper quiet", I thought I'd put it to the test.It passed! In fact, it is so quiet that you sometimes wonder if it has stopped working. It does what it says it would, and the risk of bed sores is all but goneI said almost peefect because there is one thing I'd like to see added to the design: instead of a flap to tuck under the mattress it would have been better to have a pocket to put the mattress into at the head of the bed. This would prevent the device from slowly moving towards the foot of the bed as the patient is raised and lowered for feeding and resting.A small deficiency in an otherwise excellent product.
