Genuinely Prestige! But buy a newer model..
It’s a genuine product. These last a lifetime (of course silicone ring needs replacement every five years).Never wash in a dishwasher, handles can corrode (and replacement after 15 years might not be available).Hawkins or Prestige (or Butterfly) is a matter of personal preference as to how lead operates. Hawkins lid is non forgiving to slightest dents, Prestige (or Butterfly) is.Newer model (with dip in the lead to capture froth) is even better.

Useful pressure pan
My two other pressure cookers are cylindrical and accommodate stacked inserts (so I can use them to pressure-cook several items at a time). This pressure cooker is a pressure pan, not designed for stacked inserts. I knew this when I bought it so I was not disappointed, although like other reviewers, I found this pressure pan somewhat smaller than expected. But it's a great size for about 2-3 cups (uncooked) of most dals. I like that you can prepare your sauces or spice base, add the uncooked lentils and water, and cook the whole thing directly in the pot. It also comes to full pressure very, very quickly. Overall very sturdy and cleans nicely in my dishwasher.

Lid is broke and it’s of no use. Used only 4 times.
Broke just before the game eligibility day to return. i was in lot of dilemma to get cooker from amazon. I went and did it. It broke when it’s on the stove. There is a big hole where the sealing is supposed to be. Thank god it didn’t burst.

Nice quality cooker. bottom is INDUCTION possible with safety issue.
Nice and INDUCTION top possible .con:MAJOR SAFETY NEED TO BE FIXED.as everybody keep the pan on oven to heat , if you are using it just for frying, the bottom handle plastic melts and become lose to the whole handle assembly. If the bottom is shackie and not fitting as whole assembly it is uneasy to tight the whole assembly which can cause whole safety issue in pressure cooker. The designer need to keep a soft metal between the main stainless steel and plastic handle so the heat is not transfer to plastic handle also soft metal (non-heat conducting metal) help the screw to tight.Indian engineers thing ahead ever you tested on oven top? Any women engineer working in your design team? Designing pressure cooker is not like buggie outsourced code which blow the server. This is safely issue of family.

Real nice pressure cooker pan
This pressure cooker appears to be very well made, and has a highly polished chrome finish. I have two other pressure cookers, 6QT and 8QT, and I must say this 4QT comes to pressure very quickly, in just a few minutes. The pan is about 3" deep, and the lid adds about another inch to the height. Three chicken leg quarters, cut into thighs and drum sticks fits into it easily, but I could have put fourth in with no trouble at all. Unlike the 6&8 quart which have a pressurized safety locking pin on the lids, this one does not. And unlike the 6&8 quart models this one is a whole easier to clean up, which means I will probably be using the 4QT all the time. I like it alot and would recommend it to anyone.
