TLDR: Beautiful & may be perfect for you, but it wasn't for me. Christian journal for steady spiritual growth, not a handbook to drastically changing your life. Beautiful devotional with thoughtful & well-written connections to where our faith is applicable in every day life, modern 21st century living. The messages are spot on. Many pages really hit close to home & is perfect for anyone looking for a pretty & clean faith-based journal to write in. I only took off one star, as this is not what I was personally looking for. If you're looking for a more in-depth connection to your faith & a guide to overcoming challenges along the way, this is not it. If you're looking for thought provoking questions to help pave your path & help you grow by leaps and bounds over the course if the year, this is not for you. It is literally one person's journal entry in relation to a specific theme of Bible verses, alongside an empty page for you to write your own reflections in. I hope to come back to this book in coming years, however, after the year we've all had, I need something more substantial to really hold my hand through a process of healing & growth, in the face of everything that is currently holding us back.

WOW- I rarely leave reviews for purchases. But I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to share just how awesome and life-changing this devotional book has been for me! The photos above are of my well used copy (it came in mint condition). I am just about done this book with one week left to go! If you are new to the faith, or maybe struggling and need to see the word through a new lens that brings back that passion- this is the devotional journal for you. This is the first devotional journal I’ve ever done, and it has made me so excited about spending time in the Word that I now regularly read the bible each morning and look forward to it! I love Candace’s personal stories which bring authenticity to the daily devotions, and that there’s a space for journaling which encourages you to reflect on the Word that day and how it applies to your life, and then a prayer to finish it off! Sometimes it’s so easy to get in a rush, read a devotional and then forget about it, this is different- it’s nice to absorb the Word and personalize it, and be able to look back on your spiritual journey and see how God is working in your life! If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate, this is a beautifully done devotional that truly brings “Joy and Strength”.

Candace Cameron Bure is such a credit to all. This journal is especially inspiring and directs us to sections of the bible. It helps on our individual journeys.
