Incredible! Awesome pickup
This model is the most used replacement humbucker in the world for a reason! Provides tight, punchy lows, warm midrange and extremely crisp, well defined highs. If you like Hard Rock or more traditional Metal this is a must have! If you like some of the more alternative styles of Metal where you pound out power chords as fast as you can and get that muddy sound people scream to this is not for you. It will expose your skills! If the guitar you are putting this into is already somewhat bright sounding again I would look at another model pup. For guitars made with woods that create a lower range naturally this is for you! I put it in an ESP Mystique in the bridge of course along with a Duncan SH1 '59 PAF in the neck and it sounds like a dream now! The JB was Mr. Duncan's favorite pickup of all time. He built the first one over 40 years ago for Jeff Beck to try and he loved it. If your guitar has a mahogany body, mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard like the Mystique, whoa! I've used most famous humbuckers ever made, Dimmarzio's, custom made PRS Dragons, EMG's, and various other Duncan's as well. Even played the famous EVH Wolfgang guitar for a few years with two of the famous EVH Wolfgang Humbuckers in it and I can honestly say this sounds every bit as good and even crisper highs IMO for less than half the price! The harmonics you can nail with ease and has fantastic sustain as well. Great for rhythm and lead as well. This pickup has been used and is still used by many famous guitarists and for some of the most famous solos ever. Jeff Beck, Warren DeMartini, Dave Mustaine, Joe Satriani and that ever so challenging Bark At The Moon played by Jake E. Lee himself using this pup. I Remember You by Skid Row, that famously beautiful solo, yep uses the JB. Many more artists than I could possibly remember. It's the most widely used bridge humbucker on Jackson's Soloist series guitars as well. Sounds great clean as well. Very versatile as well for most genres of music so you won't have to switch guitars very often while playing live. I mostly play Hard Rock and Traditional Metal. AC/DC, Aerosmith, GNR, Skid Row, Ratt, Def Leppard, Pantera, Ozzy, Metallica, Eagles, Dokken, DIO, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Bullet For My Valentine, Megadeth... This pup on the right guitar can nail anything along this style of music plus so much more! If you play Death Metal and some of those muddier darker sounding Metal spin offs where you like to scoop the mids this is not for you. If you like what you've just read do not hesitate to buy. I'm gonna swap a few more bridge humbuckers out with this model. Not recommended for use in the neck position.

Seymour Duncan rocks in more ways than one
I am a mediocre amateur guitarist who has played for less than three years with no instruction. I like to try cheap guitars because I can justify the expense if I get a dog, unlike a four-figure axe. For another $80, I can drop in a S-D JB4 or Duncan Distortion and see how the guitar REALLY performs. This particular JB4 went into the bridge of a used ESP-LTD M10. The M-10 has a pretty good setup and playability, but I knew the bridge was a bit tinny, hollow, and in distinct. I won’t go into detail where You-Tube will give you a much better demonstration, but not only does the M-10 sound better with the JB4, it is about 20% LOUDER—always good for volume options.Having installed two S-D pickups vs. Three other no-name pickups, the S-D’s have better packaging, better perceived product quality (like the non-metal wrap, thicker wires, better quality mounting hardware), and better instructions.I’m not enough of an ear-expert to objectively rate the difference between a $80 J-B and a $15 Kmize, but at least I can say my two JB’s have been guaranteed improvements; where my Kmize pickups were 50/50 on improving the guitar. Maybe it was the quality of the guitar I put the Kmize into?In any case, I’m happy with my S-D pickups and will continue to consider them for bargain-guitar pickup replacement.Righteous, dude!

Exactly the sound I was looking for!
This Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB was the perfect finishing touch my Donner project guitarI bought a $150 Donner HSS "Seeker Series" about a month ago. Thought I’d roll the dice.I knew when I picked it up and played it that it was a diamond in the rough. It needed several upgrades and a bit of set up work. New Hipshot staggered Locking tuners and synchronized trem system took care of the tuning stability. I kept the stock single coils but the stock bridge humbucker was just tolerable and not very inspiring.I chose this Duncan humbcker because I knew it was responsible for so many of the great Super Strat sounds I have heard growing up trough the late seventies and eighties Plugged it straight into my Stage Right 50 watt tube amp ( no pedals ) and Wow what an amazing sound! This is the first time I have heard the tubes driven so well without the need of a pedal. I have an HSS Fender Strat,, while the stock pickups sound great on that guitar, I'm already planning to swap out the stock bridge humbucker for another Duncan JB. Absolutely love the sound of this pick up!

Myt go to Pickup!
I have at least 5 guitars I have retro-fitted with a Seymore JB. It's my perfect pickup. I love the sound and tone, it's replaced the bridge pickup in my EVH 5150, my PRS custom 24, Gibson NS-224, Gibson Explorer, and my FMT Strat. You cant go wrong with this one!
