Red Kap Men's Shop Short

I bought these black Red Kap Shop Shorts for my teenage son for his first job at an auto shop. He really likes them. They have lots of pockets and he says the shorts are comfortable. The price was reasonable too. Now that the weather is turning cooler here in Southern California, my son will buy his own Red Kap Shop Pants for work.

I’m a full time mechanic for gas and diesel passenger vehicles and I have 3 pairs of these, one in each color, and love them. Very durable, have never ripped. Fit is true to size and don’t hug my anywhere too tight. They wash easily and don’t seem to hold onto stains. The pockets are great and hold my phone, flashlight, pocket screwdriver, keys, multitool, and wallet all at once with room for a spare wrench or 2. After years of putting a leatherman clipped to my pocket the seam where it sits still hasn’t frayed or torn. Really durable and reliable shorts that will last you years. Waist also has room to breathe. I’ve fluctuated pant sizes about an inch or 2 during the time I’ve owned them and they are never too tight. Great all around shorts. Also not too baggy, you can get away with wearing them outside of the shop without looking sloppy.

High quality art shorts, similar to Dickies

Great work shorts except the zipper is too short and it's a pain trying to use it. I think I'd prefer cargo pockets on both legs instead of just one. But they hold up well, dry fairly quick and have good mobility.

I’m 5’10”. and 250 pounds. These shirts fit me perfectly. The fabric is tough yet flexible and strong. I like the longer length too. I actually like the ‘hidden’ button above the zipper. Other shirts that I bought had a metal clasp that occasionally would come undone. I bought five pair for work and I am very happy with them.

Absolutely the best shorts I've ever owned (currently have 3 pairs). They fit great, they never seem to wrinkle, they never seem to fade or unravel and they're very inexpensive!

These are quite long in the leg for shorts but are well designed. There are plenty of belt loops and pockets are deep enough. On the right hand side there are two patch style pockets, ideal for a mobile phone. I have a large rugged work phone and this fits in one of the pockets nicely. In the past, I have had shorts with velcro flaps on the side pockets. I found this to be a nuisance when inserting and removing phone with one hand. These patch pockets are ideal. The left hand side pocket has a flap that is stitched at each end for a more secure pocket, perhaps for a wallet. There are also two rear pockets, plus the traditional side pockets which is great. On unpacking, I found loads of threads hanging that I had to cut off, these had loops and knots in the ends where the machinist had not tidied them properly. I hope these will not now come undone. These are advertised as 'gusseted' and although quite a good fit, I would have liked a bit more room when sitting down. There is no seam in the middle, under the crotch. Usually this feels like a bit of rope cutting at you. They are a massive improvement on standard shorts. The front zip is a good length for easy access. Sometimes the zips can be too short meaning the shorts have to be manoeuvred when taking that all important comfort break. The zip is made by YKK, not just a cheapo either. All in all, I'm quite pleased and will order more if they prove comfortable and don't fall apart too soon.

I've been a die hard Dickies fan for like 20 years. I decided to try something new and these are IT. Fit super well, the cell phone pocket is perfect. The length is great. Reinforced pockets. And I love the button cover. The best shorts ever.

I can't recommend these shorts enough. They're like a better version of Dickies. Just as rugged but the material actually is flexible and comfortable.
