Great Value for Occasional Heavy-Duty Cutting
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these Amazon Basics Straight Cut Aviation Snips for a rather unusual but necessary task: cutting up a metal credit card that my credit card company wouldn't take back for destruction. Regular scissors were completely ineffective, but these snips made quick work of the card, cutting through the thin metal effortlessly. The snips are very comfortable to hold in hand, and they felt sturdy and capable as I cut. The cuts were clean, and the blades are, as expected, very sharp. While I doubt I'll have frequent use for them, their durable feel suggests they would hold up well if I did.For the cheap price, these snips did exactly what I needed them to do. They're a great tool to have on hand for those unexpected jobs that require more cutting power than standard scissors.

Great Quality for price
bought these as spare/back up for aluminum gutter guards. They cut straight -even through stroke, tips nibbled well, really surprised by them. I have a higher end pair and didn't savor idea of dropping them into the ground from 20 feet. I only did 80 pieces of aluminum frame gutter so no idea how long these hold up. But for price, great set.

Moderate quality. Moderate cutting ability.
Bought these to trim house gutter. Was trying to increase size of drain hole. Did not work well. Also used them to cut vinyl siding, which they did work for that job. They are made of metal with a comfortable grip. Would say they are of moderate quality but has their limits on what they can cut. Would not recommend for commercial use but seem fine for home use on small projects for very thin soft metal or non-metal cutting.

Very efficient for specialized purposes
Our business is precious metals including things like sterling silver which is filled with plaster and needs to be removed. Likewise, we also buy quite a bit of scrap gold jewelry in our region with "explosive" hollow pieces (filled with air that can't escape!) which expands then explodes as we are melting it . . . dangerous because I've had things fly around the room sometimes. Regular wire cutters and the like are simply too dull. These (and I've purchased a few of these) are quicker and cut right through in just a second. They're made for sheet metal, sharp and make life easier especially with thinner items such as jewelry.

Great for cutting metal credit cards
I heard these tin snips are just the right tool for cutting these metal credit cards. I can confirm they are perfect for it. Now I don't know if I will ever use it again though. Maybe in five years when my current metal credit card expires.

They are very well made and designed
They are very comfortable to use, well designed and made. They are also very durable and sharp (so be careful using them) I would definitely recommend them for anyone who uses them on a regular basis. I am very pleased with the quality, design and they are very comfortable too use.

Cheap metal snips that work very well!
These appear to be good quality and I used these to cut a metal shed to install a vent. Overall very easy to use and with the 3 different options, it was easy to cut the metal without much strain / effort.Note: I used a drill to create a hole first and then used these snips to cut out a roughly 6"x6" square in the metal shed.
